This happens too much. Law should mandate a subsantial degree of hardening to gun stores. I read of one that was robbed multiple times. That's not acceptable and it should have been shut down.

A wall like that has almost no lateral strength. Could be taken out with a sledge hammer. As for prohibiting vehicles from taking out a building, already solved. You see these daily at gas stations, for example.
Some gun stores simply don't take security seriously.

Went by there this afternoon. Apparently some fool was drinking and driving and smashed through the back wall. Not a burglary or robbery just a dumb ass. They are open for business. Good excuse to buy something while I was there!

Be careful WHAT YOU WISH FOR - the 'HARDENING STORES?!!' - Australia did just that - passed a law that gun store were mandated to pour a two feet thick concrete roof over their store. - Results, lots of them had to shut down, structure couldn't handle it. -
