This came out before the prevalence of AI.
I have seen poor fitting lock-works slip under tension: without physically examining the gun (loose pins, bad springs, worn or tampered with engagement surfaces, hell could even be a piece of fishing line tied to the trigger being manipulated...Possible, I'd say yes...common; hell no!

My Dad had an old 22 auto that would do this it would also go full auto sometimes when shot I forget what he found wrong with it this was like 60+ years ago when I was just a kid

If I remember correctly in this old video, the gun was cooking off from overheating. Nothing supernatural about it. I've seen it happen in meltdown videos and with full autos getting too hot.

Back in the 80's I had one of those Survival 22's that did that, not every trigger pull but often enough to get it tossed into a lake.
Yep, this is legitimate. This knucklehead made a meltdown video of his Sabre-15 by rapid firing 1,000 rounds through it. Predictably, they started cooking off and he failed to rip out the magazine to make it safe, and sent a few rounds skyward (at least one well before any cook-offs). Fully idiotic behavior that make people hate gun owners.

I had an old Iver Johnson .22 that when dirty would go full auto and rip off a full mag in a second or less. Unbelievable how fast a .22 can cycle!
