The Trump Pentagon under Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth in a massive overhaul of its practice allowing journalists to work from inside the building is beginning a program to remove four establishment media news outlets from their workspaces for one year to replace them with new media outlets, including Breitbart News.

There is historical precedent for this. Read "The Powers that Be" by David Halberstam for a good understanding of how the media became so powerful. The pecking order of news services was constantly re-arranged as new technologies became more powerful (radio over print, TV over radio). Politicians recognized this and put the dinosaur media of each era down a peg. Trump is only reflecting reality.

There are only so many offices to give these people, its about time they offered it up to other media outlets. Its not about restricting anything, not sure why you would be disappointed about this.

I distinctly remember Trump suing Facebook for removing his account after Jan 6th, 2021. He was all worked up over Twitter locking his account, too, so he made his own board with an ironic name. And now that he’s the big he-wolf once again, he’s gotta prove himself by restricting media? He’s told us that as President he can do whatever he wants. He could insist on access for the additional media outlets rather than cutting the previous ones out if he really wanted to prove his “freedom of speech” diatribe.
