It doesn't sum anything up. It's a rant about the differences of tax avoidance vs tax evasion, ie. deductions and planning vs cheating. Doesn't go into how he's broke, an incompetent businessman (who loses money on real estate in NYC, BWAHAHAHAHA?!) and a fake wannabe billionaire.

Earlier this year Deutsche Bank announced the Trump Organization couldn't make their debt payments. Trump has about 421 Million in liabilities and also apparently he has less than that in assets that he owns. He's a broke and marginally literate clown.

2 days ago I finished a tax return that was over 700 pages for an individual. Can you imagine how big trumps would be with all the state and foreign returns if it w re printed. Kind of hard for someone to sneak a copy to the nyt reporter. Even an IRS transcript of his return would be enormous. It had to be leaked electronically and thus traceable. Trump should sue and offer 500,000 reward for information on the leaker. Every hacker in the world would be after it.

A usb stick is not necessarily any more traceable than a manilla envelope.

But which computer it was downloaded from would show exactly when. And if emailed then it could be hacked. Just a thought. Times could claim immunity from disclosure but the Irs can't so see if they sent or downloaded it. Same for Trumps cpa's etc.

Begging of this year, especially in NYC, no one could pay their debt. One client has a 1,000,000 per month mortgage payment. During. March they collect 30,000 from tenants. That's just one of their NYC properties.

Well if he was broke im sure he would be taking in a Presidents salary. He donates it.

It's possible to be a bazillionaire and live off of past savings. Consider he donated his government salary and made nothing off his personal work. The businesses (business income, property tax, sales tax, luxury tax, he owns/runs pay a lot more in taxes than most people combined. His "personal" income tax in theory could be zero.

Please consider, the US government (and NY State) consistently run in deficit mode.

In the past though, Trump has donated to a lot of losers.

He'd be broke if he has a negative net worth. I don't think anybody is asserting he does. His net worth is not as high as he's claimed or alluded to, but he's not broke.

As for income taxes I know chumps like us in this thread who work for a living don't pay taxes in the same manner as somebody with multiple companies and assets.

i'm sure there is something he's hiding and I've always assumed it's very simple: He's not worth what he claims. It explains everything. Without knowing how his net worth has changed over time (the most important metric, IMO) we don't know what his actual wealth picture is.

I assure you he'll never be living in a typical middle class house driving a used car like the rest of us.

What may be asserted without evidence, may be dismissed without evidence. He's provided zero proof to backup his claim. Given the Times has the documents and apparently is working on a redacted version to protect their source I consider them more credible. On one hand you have the claims of a pathological liar, on the other had you have a news organization that will be sharing some of the goods soon. Not hard to see which one I think is more likely to be correct.

For the record though, I want to see the stuff the Times claims to have, if they don't follow through and show off a good portion to verify their claims, I will certainly dismiss what they have to say too.
