Verona Man charged with firing shotgun at Troopers & Deputy

On August 9, 2019, at approximately 12:12 P.M., State Police responded to 6047 State Route 46 in the town of Verona for a suicidal subject in a barn behind the residence and was possibly armed with a gun.

Justin C. Carter, age 35, from 6047 State Route 46 Verona, NY was arrested and charged with the following:

• Attempted Murder of a Police Officer 1st degree, a class “A” felony
• Reckless Endangerment 1st degree, a class “D” felony
• Menacing a Police Officer, a class “D” felony
• Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, a class “A” misdemeanor

I wonder what this will all boil to after the plea deal? One year, maybe two?
