Vice principal lets armed gunman into Ohio school to protect them from police: report​

"I confirmed the interior doors were locked and instructed the four suspects to come to the vestibule because it was unsafe to be outside because I saw police officers," a vice principal said.

On September 14, four masked teenagers armed with guns arrived at Garret Morgan High School in Cleveland, Ohio and despite 911 dispatcher and school security advising against it "two assistant principals from leadership let the males into the building" to protect them from police arriving on the scene.

Local Fox 8 News reports that one of the vice principals said, "I confirmed the interior doors were locked and instructed the four suspects to come to the vestibule because it was unsafe to be outside because I saw police officers."
The four masked males arrived in three stolen cars in the afternoon and, as local WDTN News reports, the school security officer immediately spotted the suspicious group, alerted both the school and authorities and locked the doors.

While the school was in lockdown, police were dispatched to the scene. While the security officer is on the phone with 911 he shouts, "Do not let them in the building" and "Do not let anybody through that door, people."

All four teens then began running from the police resulting in a prolonged chase that found three of them being captured and arrested and one getting away. Two guns were recovered from the youth and the three cars were all confirmed to have been stolen.

The police 100% failed. They should have arrested that principal on the spot for endangering the lives of children.

The school board should immediately fire the principal.

If the school board does not, parents need to lose their shit on the board and demand they all resign due to loss of confidence.

What magical level of stupid has someone reached when they actually admit armed gunman into a school? These guys didn't force their way in with demolition tools or explosives. These people in charge invited them in. I don't care if the inner doors were locked. I.dont even care if there was armed security standing inside those doors waiting for them.

This action, legalities not withstanding, was an example of intergalactic level stupidity, negligence, and a COMPLETE lack of common sense and reasoning skills. Who would they have called in the event a shooter penetrated the building? Would they have called anyone at all?

If there are legal avenues to be pursued, they damn well better be. In any case, they should be IMMEDIATELY fired as I see no plausible reason for anything even resembling an investigation. There are no circumstances, NONE, that would explain their actions.

The stupid in this country has to stop. People need to start being held accountable for their actions and start long and legitimate stretches behind bars.
