Can someone explain this? I want to build an upper for an SCR with a free float handguard but someone said it was no good cause its a shroud. Whats the deal???

Shrouds are only features for so called AW Pistols. Shrouds are not handguards.

Thank you for this. I only ask because I just made a thread about building an SCR upper. Well I was going to use a midwest industries free float hand guard and someone said its a "Shroud" and illegal.
