Which would you choose, Colt Single Action Army or Colt 1911?

I am a fan of both, though I do not yet own a 1911 type pistol ( I have fired them though). I think there is a romance with both handguns and I am just interested to see what others think.
As for me, I just love the look, feel and history of the Colt SAA. I think it's a beautiful design and while I know given the technogy now, it is a bad choice, it's just one of those pistols you hold and immediately fall in love with.
Which would you choose if, nothing but the style and feel of the gun mattered? Not concerned about life or death, just which does your heart desire.

I loves me a 1911, but when it's all over - there's no such thing as "fanning" a 1911.

The 1911 will never out cycle a gunfighter with an SA revolver. Luckily there are not a lot of gunfighters out on the streets anymore.

If I were looking for a new gun, since I have more 1911s than I know what to do with I would probably go for the SSA or a Peacemaker.

if I could only have one it would be a 1911.

I would get the Colt SAA as well. There will always be a 1911 for you but if you’re looking for an old SAA the prices won’t be dropping.
