Wouldn't you say the same for the thordsen ? If you already have a butt stock available money wise cheaper than price for thordsen stock

No. Look at the end of the buffer tube on the Thordsen. There is stock there.

Now look at the end of the buffer tube on the Exile.

What do you see?

After testing all the options the Thordsen is the best choice for the AR in terms of ergonomics. The buttstock falls where it should or pretty close and one can reach the safety with the thumb and the trigger without over stretching. No possible with other options excluding spurs and other more exotic alternatives
but with those one has little leverage and corresponding safety concerns.

But it is narrower and the receiver will not bite in your hand and might even create blisters and cuts.
But even if that was not the case the stock cannot go that low. It is absurd.
Trust me we have bought all the options and tested everything possible including fit and finish and ergonomics.
I am not saying one should not get it if the price is right but consider all these things first.
Also consider one doesn't need to buy anything too special to make it compliant.

Do you see where that back plate is? The kit will come with one rounded up w/o sharp edges yet the grip
is quite uncomfortable and will end up screwing up your hand after long sessions of shooting.
One could use gloves but then the already long reach to the trigger gets worse.

Yeah making it very unpleasant not a good thing !

The Thordsen is the best option for featureless. You lose nothing other than needing an ambi safety if you want to go back to safe one handed.

A) buy all the options like I did and test them.

The Unsafe Act took away the grip. Ares and Thordsen remedied that by providing a proper grip. (Same as a conventional rifle)

All the other solutions are okay if you are only concerned with range play.
