We knew this was coming folks . Now days some handguns are in short supply unless you buy at a premium . Not saying my gun buying days are over . Always thought the California gun roster would get here first. .. If I don't buy another handgun I can survive .. I also don't sell any guns. Fear of these new laws have been a driving force behind many of my purchases . Could use at some point a good varmint bolt action ... Just ran into a situation on a tractor that could cost a few thousand to fix.

Absolutely! None of this bullshit would ever be an issue if these unconstitutional laws weren't being enforced and supported by LEO's. It doesn't matter how nice they are as a person or what their off duty opinion may be, it only matters that 99.99999999% are supporting unconstitutional gun grabbing laws because they are simply doing what they're told with the threat of deadly force if you "disobey" illegal gun laws.
The idea that LEO's, many of which have very little range time and are incompetent with firearms, are allowed extra privileges to own almost whatever the fuck they want outside of work use, but law abiding gun owners cannot, is disgusting and plays right into the tyranny 100%.

So I’m to assume that the bill to have a license for a semi- auto is for all of them? Ruger 10/22 all the way up to a Barret, but mostly because they want to limit AR sales
Odds are they suck at writing bills, but they learned last time with safe that we are clever at finding ways around their crap.
I would expect this to be very broad and vague.
It won't surprise me if the language is something stupid like "any semi automatic gun not defined as a pistol/firearm is subject to restrictions set forth...".
They will likely go for semi auto shotguns too. Imo

The stamp is on the firing pin of the gun. It leaves a micro impression of a serial number on the primer of expended cartridges. The numbers are supposed to be pre-loaded in a database and they use it match the shell casing up to the gun that was used, without having to recover the gun first. That's the short version. It's feasability is basically 0. They tried this years ago, didn't fly.
NY tried a database called CoBIS years ago as well, which was also a colossal failure and waste of money.

Remember Cuomo told us years ago, that if you are a Republican, or have conservative values, or are a 2nd amendment supporter, you dont belong in this state. She is part of the same administration that said this. Not only will they not listen to anything we have to say, we are not even "worthy" enough to reside in this state. If the micro stamping law passes and it effectively ends new and used pistol sales but still allows transfer, then I will be bulk buying G19, G43X, P365 and hellcats to stockpile for investment purposes. The demand for conceal carry self defense pistols will always be there, however the supply will then be artificially shut off.
Either that or one of his go-to men will say that they didn't know anything about these new laws being proposed until it's too late. At least that is what we have heard about the safe Act back in 2013
Not a damn thing they pass will have any effect on gun violence or crimes. They are to stupid to realize criminals DO NOT obey laws.

Not being sarcastic in any way. I am legitimately asking, how does or would, this micro stamp bullsh#t end new and used pistol sales? Is it meaning that there will then be so many "hoops" to jump thru that nobody is going to bother doing it, or is it something else. I am completely ignorant about what this micro stamping nonsense even is, so i am lost at the word microstamp.
Literally not a single gun manufacturer makes a handgun with micro stamping.
The technology doesn't exist. And no manufacturer is going to spend the money to magically make it work just to sell to 3 states

Gotcha. Simply put, it would be like, "Yes you can have a pistol in NY, its fine, the only stipulation is every pistol must have a genetically proven Bigfoot hair attached to the grip". Thats all, nice and easy, and simple.
Joking aside, this is just getting ridiculous now. These absurd "gun laws" will do nothing but infringe on 2nd amendment rights. Funny how NY, with its 2013 safe act, and its strictest gun laws in the country, is still having some of the worst gun violence on record. Wait, maybe criminals dont follow the ny safe act, that cant be.

Also, I'm not a criminal, but if I was and this microstamped pins happens I'd go to a range and pickup some microstamped brass while being "courteous to the range" and drop it at a crime scene to misdirect guilt.

Criminals dont buy guns at a FFL. They care less what serial number is on the gun let alone what it ejects. Its not like it can be traced back to the trunk of a car.
