If the law says it's illegal then they can't shoot. They can give all the guidance they want but unless they change the law it's still illegal.

The same thing happened when that asshole suckered punched that guy in NYC. The DA lowered the charges so he was released. The wicked witch of the east stepped in and said arrest him. As much as people want that guy off the streets the cops should've said no - you made the bail laws now live with them. The state can't just magically change a law by saying they did. It needs to be done the right way
