Manchin was very happy to vote for the IRA and he has NEVER addressed the FEDERAL TAX tax that his vote imposed on the Coal Mines..
The Bi Partisan Inflation Reduction Act includes includes COAL TAX HIKE in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022
Section 13901 increases the tax per ton on underground mines from 50 cents to $1.10 and on surface mines from 25 cents to 55 cents.
