To provide some context for this - they all use a content service that sends an email each morning with crap that they can talk about.
They'll then pick-n-choose.
Radio does the same thing, at 4am their service will send various topics for them to talk about. A station will subscribe (pay for) various topics, such as rock, or top40, or country, whatever, and they'll have a fresh fax each morning with artist birthdays, who overdosed this week, what rapper got shot yesterday, whatever, that the DJs can talk about during their shows, while neither knowing nor caring fuck-all about the topics themselves.
Turns out, it's quite the mechanism for creating a popular narrative.
