Honestly, demand for labor already had the wages higher than this now anyway.
I never will eat that garbage. I typically take a quest cookie, two bananas, and peanuts, and a coconut water in a bag. Protein, fat, carbs. Not ideal but it's balanced. In total it's $4 and at least healthier than even the salads at a lot of places.

I was just going to say the same thing. The local Burger King has had a sign up for a couple months now. Hiring $18 hr. They're already paying above $15 hr.
I get this and I know others said it but what happens when the labor market decreases? They will not have the option to decrease wages so that’s great right now they are offering higher wages but a year from now maybe not.
I believe my local BK is hiring closer to $20. They just put in some coffee place, the drive through has order takers outside all day (well thought out in NY weather). For giggles I looked up what the pay is, $40-50K/yr. For fucking standing outside with a ipad taking coffee orders.
Meanwhile folks like me who operate dangerous machinery and who make some of that shit possible for them get shafted up the ass with shit wages.

There's a place I pass by when going by Oneida Lake on Rt 31, it's called "Flo's Diner" and they've had 10 cent coffee for over three decades. That's really the only place I've stopped for coffee. It's good coffee too! Otherwise I have the means to make it myself.
