While there are a number of factors that contributed to our success in WWII one big one was the fact that we had the ability to move troops and supplies around the world and the manufacturing to supply such an effort. Nobody at that time could do that. We no longer have the manufacturing that we did then, other countries do. It is also possible today for others to reach us and bring the war to our shores, maybe not on the scale that we can, but enough to keep us busy here while trying to wage a foreign war. The next big one aint gonna be a cake walk.

I agree with this but keep in mind the technology now is very different. It’s hard to say what would have happened and what will happen tomorrow.
This attack does seem a bit odd and off to me so waiting it out seems wise at this point. I don’t know if it was prearranged by the Biden admin but maybe it was so he could save face with all even the pro-Palestinians here in the USA for the election.

What I'm seeing is lines being drawn and another possible war on a global stage with entanglement.


All if takes is one little misshap in Ukraine an all of NATO is involved.


All it takes is one little misshap in the middle east, and all of the middle East is probably involved along with several western nations.


All it takes is one little misshap in the south china sea, and all of Asia get involved.


See the pattern here?


Next thing you know we could be bombing Venezuela and sending rockets to Vietnam.

If it gets to the point where they attack the USA directly we are fucked, we don't have the manufacturing infrastructure, stockpiles, or enlisted military strength to effectively defend ourselves.

We could probably defend against the first wave or two of ICBMs non-nukes but after that nothing. Biden gave Ukraine most of our supplies. Our fleets could probably keep our coasts safe but I don't know if Mexico or Canada wouldn't turn on us opportunisticly. Shit I could see our military turn on itself.

I’ll say the number of armed citizens would put up a fight as well. I wouldn’t join the military in the traditional sense because I wouldn’t want to leave my family and fight for them but there’s many ways to fight. I get foreign military’s have superior fire power but for the most part bombing runs don’t win wars and there would need to be boots on the ground here. China scares me but not much else does. I think most other countries we could handle relatively easy.

And that wont last long. Sure, we all have our guns and hopefully are prepared to use them. But how long can an indivdual last against even a small group of trained military? I am quite aware that the day I have to take out my guns against,say, an invasion from china is the day I die.

Militia today are not nearly equally armed as most military. Too bad too because this is why the 2nd was founded.

And how many "militias" are there in this country? I dont know but I suspect not many. We have a lot of gun owners here but I would bet there are not a handful in the whole bunch that actually belong to what could be considered a true militia. I dont expect anybody to admit it openly of course. Back in the late 70's early 80's a good friend of ours that lived upstate here, we all lived in NYC and NJ at the time, wanted to form a militia. There was no internet at the time. We used to visit him for shooting and other outdoor activity probably 10+ times a year. We told him, sure, put us down. He was active USMC at the time, a lifer. He gave us the rank of Maj. Now in work, I was a Lt, when he would call me on the phone he always asked for Maj my name. My Sgt that answered most of the calls would tell him you mean Lt? When the internet came around he would email us and make it look like some kind of official "militia" thing. Soon after that started we all got calls from feds, so even back that far they were monitoring. He got an actual knock on the door from the feds. I have to figure today, any actual militia is closely watched and regularly harassed

There's quite a few around the country. Some try to be very visible, the smart ones don't attract attention and are still around. Guys I'm with do everything to not be visible. Even then had the feds pay a visit to a few guys due to the ramblings of a new guy that didn't last long. He talked crazy shit, seen it coming and told him to fuck off somewhere else.
People gotta keep better company and keep their fuckin mouth shut.
I still wear my insignia to piss off the right people lol.

Yep... During WWII auto and other manufacturers switched gears and began building tanks and airplanes. Hell, even Singer Sewing Machine switched gears and started producing rifles, pistols and airplane parts. Would American manufacturers do that today, or COULD they? Some of todays weapons are high tech and loaded with electronics, and we import much of if not most of our electronics, some from countries that don't like us much. We could produce plenty of guns and ammo but I doubt if we could produce very many more potent or more complicated weapons.

And militias... no doubt the USA ABC agencies bird dog any and all militia activity. Although if the USA were to be invaded (more so than now at our southern border) "well regulated" militias could/would be a huge plus. But due to graft and corruption, our government does not want a strong armed civilian presence of any type, government fear of true patriots. Actually, if foreign troops invaded our country, I expect some of our esteem government representatives would welcome them, would be turncoats, traitors in short time. Sad that our government is corrupt to the point that I and likely other citizens think this way. But we have to be honest with ourselves, and others of course.

Starting with Biden and all the way down.Its been said many times here on this forum that this admin certainly appears to be selling out to, mainly china, our enemies. If they launched an all out invasion I fully expect the powers that be would order the military to stand down and we go down with only civilian shots being fired in defense.

Iran is running down graded tomcats.


Air war I think Israel will be okay.


Funny to think our fighter wing combined is almost 9x that number...

So Iran sends over 300 missiles to Israel

Since Iran cant count ; we will just go with the 300

So Israel has 298 missiles they can launch to even up the missile count
