Perhaps. But his range was 150 yards with an AR, correct? I am sure many of us have shot at that range knowing a 223/556 can surely reach that distance, but also knowing it is not as easy as some think. You have a 20 suttin year old with probably limited experience that made a head shot adjusting for bullet drop perfectly, but hit him too far to the left (or was it right?). Seems to good to be true. And yes if you think I am implying the shot came from elsewhere, well I am. I don't believe a word these people say. They are evil.

Correct. Set up could also play a factor. Was is a plain name cheap ar with a delta ring? Probably not the most accurate rifle. Then factor in if he had a scope, the set up like torque specs, etc.
I'm sure we will never know, but as a 20 year old I was pretty simplistic in my approach on rifle set up vs now.

We have no clue what he had, what length barrel, what caliber, only a blurry areal picture of a dead guy and a what appears to be an AR on a roof. If we assume its a 5.56 AR, depending on ammo its nearly flat at 150-200m. A couple inches variation at best. Someone with an afternoons familiarization could make that shot with ease.
We may surmise that he was left leaning and may have come from a left leaning family, but this is also western PA. Gun culture is alive and well and he did not exactly live in a metropolis.
Missing may have been lack of skill, but what about lying on a hot ass roof, or more likely factor was lack of traning and experiance due to the massive adrenaline dump he had knowing he was ending his life that day one way or another.

Yea I know its not the hardest distance to reach out, but I factor in nerves, time, position/stance, etc...those alone make a difference compared to us that shoot from a bench. Then there is the choice to take a head shot..why not a chest shot? Perhaps I am overthinking it because I shoot a lot and this dude was inexperienced and was winging it (yet almost achieved his goal). We will never know.

I've seen new video of people that are just underneath the building where the shooter was positioned. You can hear them yelling "He's got a gun! He's right up there!" Easily would have been heard by the shooter. This is a 20 yr old soy boy kid it looks like with prob little to no training. I imagine his adrenaline was rushing, breathing was all over the place and he was prob shaking like a leaf, then hearing that he's been spotted and maybe rushes the shot a little more even. And still grazed the ear.
The BIGGEST fail is how did this douchenozzle get into a position from 150 out to have a clear shot at Trump.

Im actually glad he used an ar style rifle, i believe that if he had a precision rifle with quality ammo he would have succeeded in taking out Trump.

I'm sure there are even more outlandish hypotheticals that can be piled on top of this initial one to justify the fear, but, like the "so everyone should be able to own nukes" false escalation being used to justify 2A infringements, the likelihood of such a situation actually coming to pass is laughable.
As far as I know, as a non-historian, there is no path within the Constitution that would enable a sitting President the ability to assassinate his political rival. If there is I respectfully request you detail how that would come to pass.
