There are many people in the US who would be far better choices for POTUS than anything we have seen in a century.
But, none of them can come anywhere near being elected.
It is the single biggest flaw of our system. The qualities necessary to win the election are diametrically opposed to the qualities you want in someone who holds that office.
What does that say about us? Because if that person ran we should be able to see the qualities we want and elect that person.

Not to mention it takes some serious mental fortitude and sacrifice to hold that office. Just thinking personally, I could never do a job like that simply for the loss of privacy and anonymity in my daily life. 24/7 working or "on call" surrounded by security, can't just go for a walk for a drive ever again. We focus WAY too much on morality and the person. The TEAM is what really made Trumps administration work. His antics were his downfall. The FAILING of the current circus is the lack of a team FUNCTIONING to Govern. Not just politically but the governing has dumped. Not really sure who is in charge of what they do daily. They are very good at being late in decision making and pushing blame. The Bobble Head in charge is just the hood ornament. Everyone else behind them is actually what determines if the vehicle works right. Love or Hate him, Trump does build and modifies a good team. Almost like how he made his money. It really comes down to having to pick one side, and really that's what you're doing; picking the representation offered by two parties platforms. Trump represents the values and goals of Republican/Conservative/Constitutional and Harris is Democrat/Socialist/Status Quo...it's really not the Chairman as it is what they represent and who they WILL install into Government Positions that hold control over the Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government and its interactions with the individual States.
We're basing what we think they'll do on past history, campaign promises (which are a meaningless as telling a whore you love her when you're orgasmic) and the controls we think we have over their decisions....personally I'm going with who best reflects my values problem is there are only two choices being made available, so do the best you can with what you have to work with.

Trump's wall was mostly made of Mexico itself.
The people coming in now aren't Mexicans.
Mexico isn't the shithole it used to be, and unless you make enemies of a cartel it's not a bad place to live.
If you're Mexican and want to come in, it's not hard to do it legally. I know people who have a maid that they pick up and drop off at the border once a week. At the official, legal, border crossing that is.
