Do not read too much into this, it is not about him being special. It will be unsealed, sooner than later.

Sure he spoke out but he'd have played ball if the fed gave him the funding he was after and then he'd have shut up.

Biden-Harris couldn't have that, it would have set a bad precedent for them. Every other affected community would then clamor for fed funding shining even more light on the illegal crisis.

Imagine another couple dozen Mayors holding press conferences begging for funding, pitting blue sanctuary cities against the administration. No bueno.
