Eye dominance changing?

Has anyone ever heard of your eye dominance changing?
I’ve always been left eye dominant but because I was talking to a friend last night who just had cataract surgery I looked up eye dominance test on YouTube. I was trying out the test on myself and I kept coming up right eye dominant.
So I came to the range to test it. Normally, if I close my left eye, I shoot everything to the left but today it didn’t make a difference of either eye being closed. I shot into the center.
Is it possible to be both dominant?

Mine did as well. I was a right hand shooter with right eye dominance but I hurt
My back 10 years ago and it makes my back and neck muscles tight. When it happened and for about two years after I would get muscle spasms in my right eye so now I’m left eye dominant. The muscle spasms have stopped so I’d like to switch it back but can’t seem to.

I am also cross eye dominant.
Im right handed but left eye dominant.
Its not an issue for hunting with a long gun, I just close my dominant (left) eye and shoot right-hand......always dead on.
With handguns Ive just learned to use my left eye with my right hand shooting. Ive never really thought about it, its just natural. Very observant people occasionally ask why I hold my handgun so "oddly", but it works for me.
I hold the gun slightly further left than normal people without my horrible handicap.
Some people wear an eye patch or corrective shooting glasses to "train" their non dominant eye to become dominant.
The only time I heard of someones dominant eye changing was when my friend lost his dominant eye. :)

There is nothing to solve with eye dominance. You're looking down the sights in a straight line. Same with a scope. Now something can be said for body mechanics, flinching and recoil control.
For fast self defense use, consistent presentation to the target matters. Ideally, looking with both eyes open, eyes focuses on the threat (target) holding the weapon in place and winking between right and left eye should yield the front sight post moving to left and right of center of what your looking at. If that isn't you case, then you need to work on the entire sequence to that presentation to fire until you achieved consistency.

Eye dominance can vary from very strong to very mild and anything in between. With strong dominance you can aim with both eyes open. With mild dominance you have to block non-aiming eye and if dominance is very light you have to close non-aiming eye.

Cross dominance is more of a problem for rifle shooters, no so much for pistol shooters.
Blocking non-aiming eye can be done by placing non-gloss scotch tape on your shooting glasses or using special attachments.

It can and often our eyesight changes as we age...There was a time when I couldn't look through a scope with both eyes open, and as far as cross dominance goes it can be changed, but a new/beginner should learn to hit the target and then retrain from there, that way they don't become discouraged and give up before really giving it a chance.
There are Books from decades ago that really addressed the subject in depth, but I don't remember any Titles or Authors.

I have zero issues shooting with my non dominant eye for my rifles but I’m not the best pistol shot and I surmise this is why. I dont shoot a rifle with my dominant eye.

I just start blazing away. Bound to hit something somewhere.
I have started to paint my front sights yellow, seams like I can pickup on target a little better; could be me just thinking it is helping.
For years I would shoot left hand left eye, then shoot right hand right eye (better right hand right eye), but in the last few years I'm happy if I can see both the target and sights at the same time.
Yes, your eyes change and your body starts to fail, as you can no longer hold the weapons like rock steady.
Practice practice practice.
