*How* do you know you're the good guy ?

Because most of the bad guys think they're the good guy too.

I'm not saying you're not, just saying it's not as easy to tell from the inside.

It's important to know how you tell the difference, because "I just know" is a great way to deceive yourself. If you don't have clear objective criteria, you can easily be led to the wrong side of that line.

History is replete with people who assisted in atrocities all the while thinking they were the good guys.

All that matters to me, is how I saw myself on the job.

Many people throughout history have been deemed the bad guy, but many of those opinions are changing.

Some of tge " bad guys", in reality are good guys.

I've given up the conceit that I would be the good guy.

I pretty much just try not to get involved at all, but if i'm forced into it, I will have no illusions about being "the good guy".

I think almost everyone who thinks of themselves as the "good guy" is just deluding themselves.


In the video in question, we have a guy who you can be pretty sure just looking at him is not a credit to society. I'm sure the city of Buffalo is better off now that he's on the bottom side of the lawn. That's certainly not a description of a "good guy".

But you also have a group of people who never met him and showed up at his house, kicked in his door and killed him.

Pretty hard to call them the good guys either.

Society may need them doing that, but that doesn't make them good guys.
