Side note, I was watching my dad make coffee last summer and I asked him if he wanted any coffee in his cream....
Seriously though. I made an effort over 1 week to just change my habits and stop getting my double double or single single. I started to drink only black coffee for 1 week straight. That was maybe 2-3 a day.
At the end of the week my wife tried to be nice and randomly grabbed me a coffee from Timmys, a single single Because thats what she thought I had been drinking. I took a sip and it was ughghe.i couldn't drink it and it didn't taste like I remembered. From that point on I can only drink black coffee. It's only opened up a whole new world of taste and flavor.
You don't realize how much of what you are drinking the flavor is the cream or sugar. You don't actually get to appreciate and enjoy the coffee.
Now when I have different blends or brews it's fun and I can really enjoy the differences.

When I was unemployed years ago, the kids brought Peanut Butter sandwiches (Protein) made with day-old bread to school. And sometimes Bolonga. Very inexpensive.
White Rice or Prince Pasta for dinner. Also very cheap.
Raisins and Apples don't cost much as treats. Peanuts in the shell also.
Even Microwave Popcorn is no budget buster.
Nowadays I'm doing better and buy Yogurt, Roast Beef when on sale, etc. Even Sourdough Bread (still day-old),
I could live on $50 a month quite easily if pressed to. Been there.
It's no fun, but......

But even as a child, less than 10, I clearly recall being amazed at how many people reproduced. Too ugly.
Let me be very clear ... my parents and teachers were not racist. Race was never introduced as a topic. NEVER.
But I instinctively found pretty much every woman, other than a white, unattractive ... extremely.

Perhaps it was my lack of interaction with those races. My neighborhood was not diverse. But everyone agreed that jobs and status should reflect merit. We knew many whites were scum, and never defended white criminals.
