I happen to know one person that bought a super safety. He bought a no-name kit at a gun show. The theory behind it works, but the geometry of the parts he got did not. It took him a long time to make it fit and work correctly without destroying it in the process. As far as I know, he 's still tweaking it to improve function, but he has it running pretty well. Part of making it run correctly is playing with buffer weights and buffer springs. Then, it may not work with all ammo, so tune it to your ammo of choice.

For those of you wearing purple ties or that have badges from various alphabet agencies, the person I'm referencing lives in a FREE STATE and would kindly tell you to KISS HIS ASS should you wish to inquire about the kit he bought.

From what I saw though, the super safe needs very little and I mean very little filing to get run smoothly or clipping the detent spring. Very easy mods to get it working 100%

I hear ya, but for those of us that can't afford to spend 5-6 figures on a gun, don't want to register it with the government, and want to be able to take it across state lines....this thing may be a viable option.

There are 2-3 of them that seem to make up the vast majority of the market. The one my friend bought was a knock-off. His kit included the trigger, safety, special detent and spring, a few plastic spacers, as well as a H3 buffer. He was told that it might require a stiffer buffer spring ( Springco red ).

Being a knock-off, the parts he got were not dimensioned perfectly. He had to do a bunch of fitting before it even started to work correctly. Last I heard, he has it running pretty well, but is still polishing this or that to make it work without hiccups. He'll probably need a new barrel by the time he has it perfected.
