I am sure the city is in worse financial condition then most realize. Four yrs of Biden flooding the city with blood sucking illegal parasites supposedly cost 8 billion, I would bet its actually twice that. Even if most of his plans dont pan out just the loss of income from all the upper class fleeing the city and state are gonna put them under. And guess who will have to bail them out? First they will drain us upstate taxpayers and then the scumbags in DC will drain the rest of the country. there is nothing to be gained by NYC/ state taking a beating here.

That's the silver lining in all of this. A lot of the wealthier NYC residents who don't want to be taxed to pay for all the free stuff will start migrating to southern Westchester. This will drive up house prices just like it did after covid. Being in southern Westchester, my house value increased tremendously and stayed there. Houses in my neighborhood would last only days on the market and a lot of them were paid for outright. I am guessing according to real estate value trends, my house will be double in value by the time I am ready to sell. In that regard, I thank Mamdani very much for contributing to my increased wealth.People are looking to flee NYC. Too bad it’s the good ones and maybe this is the plan. Maybe this is how they will obtain what they want by forcing normal common folks out.
