Will NY comply? I doubt it. This country needs some state vs federal issue like this to be the start of something bigger. I would love for this to turn into people getting arrested, all federal funds frozen, nothing moves in or out of the state, etc.

Funny how I said early on about mixed messages and unkept promises by this administration and I was attacked for it. Now others seem to agree. I mean it’s not really a surprise but I think the republicans will lose in 2026 mid terms unless prices come down. But the consumer must shoulder a huge part of the price increase because instead of deferring purchases they just piss and moan and buy anyways

The " housing crisis " which isn't a crisis at all but buyers through emotions won't buy just a modest home, they all have to have the homes that are fully furnished with every trendy design concept, and that costs money, which again the buyer will find a lender to back a note for its purchase while pocketing huge interest gains for the lender

The only method that will work effectively, is confiscating the trucks that are operated by illegals.................... ins companies will cancel coverage for those firms..............causing the Trucking firms to do the dirty work, at the personnel level.

Commercial Drivers Licenses (except conditional due to age; which are restricted to Intrastate only) come under the requirements of Federal DOT. Should a State NOT be complying with the requirements, yes funding could and should be pulled. They can go one step farther and devaluate their Interstate authorization (for Commercial only) and restrict them to Intrastate. Of course that would be a blanket action which would affect anyone who holds a NYS Commercial license. They could only use their license to operate without compensation; like to drive their car.

Agreed prices won’t come back down. That’s why the republicans will loose the mid term elections. It’s not about a blue wave or anything like that. It’s simply people are pissed about prices and not being able to afford life these days. It’s not that they agree with the liberals.
Now that’s not to say I think the liberals will bring prices down but most people are stupid and believe what they hear.
