Upcoming Midterms - How concerned are you

So we are around 10 months to the midterms………how we gonna do?

I feel Trump won on a few keys agenda items….

1. Border
2. The economy
3. Cutting waste and expenditure ( Musk stuff)

Many other things but those are my key takeaways

Border - pretty much done and dusted in about 48 hours!!

The other 2, with the economy in particular, I am really concerned about ……..at least people’s perception and how they feel every day when shopping, buying a car, house etc

Add onto that, current ICE issues, Greenland, Iran, Ukraine war he said he would stop in 24 hours and a few other things……….all topics that will be used against us



I fear we could be in for a major ass whipping in November………clearly I hope I am wrong

The "republicans" have done exactly jack and shit during their ownership of all branches of government.
The democommies are gonna take at least the house, if not the senate.
Trump will get nothing more done.

1) The border: They may have managed to slow the invasion to a trickle (for now), but they've stalled out on removing the millions of invaders the previous administration deliberately brought in. They fail to do the one thing needed to start stemming the tide of incoming illegals, and that is to arrest and convict those who assist them. Not a single politician has been arrested for aiding and abetting for giving out taxpayer monies, "free" benefits, licenses, housing, etc. Until this happens the invasion continues.

2) The economy: This administration is almost as bad as the previous one. Both keep claiming how great the economy is, yet prices haven't really gone down any significant amount (at least they haven't gone up?), yet more and more people are losing their jobs as companies contract employment numbers in preparation of the upcoming depression. That's more people who will have no choice but to turn to the .gov for assistance just getting necessary items like food and shelter. It's almost like the GOP is working hand-in-hand with the communists to get more people dependent on the .gov. And with more people being thrown off the .gov teat it will only add to the pressure.

3) cutting waste and expenditure: This goes back to item #1. This administration appears pathologically incapable of actually arresting anyone for fraud, graft, misuse of funds, etc. The only thing they've done is blanket fire hundreds of thousands of people...low-level people...while keeping the organizers of the fraud in place. And none of the "cutting" is being done through congress so it will be just as easy for it to be reversed as it was to do it in the first place. Day one of a democrat administration will see massive hiring and spending.

i agree with this statement. And all the democrats need is one of the branches and the administration grinds to a halt. So, effectively, it will go from "pitch in a snowstorm" speeds to "aluminum in absolute zero" speeds.

Glad to see you say this. Been saying this for a while now and routinely was attacked for it by some members that left. I don’t care what others think and my opinions don’t change based on who is in office. Has Trump done some good, yes. I think there are a lot of distractions and he did something’s he said he wasn’t going to do.
I agree with you 100% on the economy. Yes, inflation has fallen below 3% and is preforming about how I expected. However, Trump said on day one he would reduce prices. Many can say oh that’s just Trump being Trump, and it is but words have meanings especially the economy. People are employed and the stock market is up is about all you can say about the economy. People are losing cars faster than ever, piling up debt faster than ever, and housing prices don’t even get me started. Is this the fault of people or the president? Mostly people but it falls to the president. The tariffs were a good move and a bad move. They may make an impact 5-10 years down the road but we will never see it because a democrat will be in next and reverse it all or most of it.
The boarder crap is good that we’re getting rid of some of the ill angels but this Minnesota crap is getting out of hand and will motivate more on the left to get out and vote. They need to concentrate on the criminals and find the fraud tied to illegals to bring it back to people wanting it again. Polling is not looking favorable to the president on this matter any longer and I suspected it would swing once it started happening. I know a guy who was arrested by ICE and was legit allowed to be here from what I understand. He was held for about 3 weeks then released after a lawyer got involved. It shouldn’t have taken 3 weeks to figure it out.
Cutting waste and fraud in the government is a joke. All that is done is waste and fraud shifts. Maybe Trump truly wanted to root it out, but once the people under him get in they get hooked and it never happens. Nearly all politicians are criminals these days. I said it multiple time the James thing would go now where and in the end all it does is spend money and hurt the Republicans.

I’ll add no matter where you stand the health care premium increases will hurt them. I think they handled it very poorly and let the democrats walk all over them on it. ACA was a democrat plan and the sunset of the enhanced credits was as well. Do I agree with the enhanced handout, no!!! But this will hurt them. I have seen more talk about Medicaid for all than I have ever. Do they say Medicaid for all will cost $3 trillion plus per year at 340 million Americans and it will cost each American $9,000/pear in taxes to implement, nope. This goes back to them never helping themselves.

I have pretty much lost all faith and hope in our political system and being able to turn our country around. We will follow the Roman Empire and others that have fallen.

Back on topic.
It seems the Republicans have a favorable election layout for the senate so they will likely keep that.
It seems like the house layout favors the democrats slightly to win it back. It’s too hard to look into each race for each area and honestly I don’t really care anymore because it doesn’t matter. The Republicans are their own worst enemies and never accomplish anything and what they do accomplish they never speak about. They bring up dumb crap that has little meaning.
I do not get the doom and gloom of those saying the blue wave, the blue wave. What we have NJ going blue, not a shocker there, then we have Virginia going blue that again isn’t a shocker.
Remember when Biden had full control and they did little as well. They passed their one big green bill and that was about it. Damaging but didn’t do much politically for them.
