FtF is not legal in NYS...............protect yourself. I just went thru my FFL/LGS, on consignment, to sell a few on GB. Works well.

Ahh, yeah, I see. Out of context it seemed potentially a little ominous, so I had to ask. As it turns out, in morbid coincidence, 147 days from now would be march 6th , marking the anniversary of the US dropping the atomic bombs in japan.

Anyway , good luck at the next yard sale. Yeah, there's the seemingly inevitable thread swerve on topics like this. I think because so many members have moved away and now have comparative info. Besides that, what can anyone really say when staying on topic other than "That's Bullshit"

Heck, I remember a time when a minor could go to an auto parts store and by a .22 rifle and ammo without any phone calls, permits, permission slips, ...

Hell, I remember times when what could be accessed (both new or surplus) on the cheap by mail order from an ad in the back of Field and Stream or a Sears and Roebuck sales catalog was amazing.

From what I can find it seems Statistical data would show that the number of gun crimes has dramatically increased over time as big brother instituted more gun controls, gun regulations, and gun prohibitions. Maybe society's problem is not the hardware.

came up to me and asks if I have any guns for sale and kept pestering when I said no, til I said you can't do that anymore in this shit hole, you have to go to a gun shop, loud enough for all to hear. He left.

I go there somewhat often.

For me, I do not care for it. Far too busy and congested.

Reminds me too much of the Buffalo suburb area.

Everything one needs is there, just too busy for me.

I am not happy with how much diversity is there either.

I go when I need to, shopping, eating and medical.

Looking at real estate in the area supports your conclusions...I want a small village/town fifteen or twenty miles from such a destination...DIL is a RN and likely would end up working a Hospital, although right now she's a Nurse Supervisor for the School District.
I know real estate has gone stupid, but $350K for a dump isn't exactly encouraging.
