Legislative update for April 7:

• The topic of having a mandatory waiting period before taking possession of a newly acquired firearm was discussed in legislative committees today.
• S-9827, Relates to the regulation of three-dimensional printed firearms, has been introduced to Codes as a companion to A-1777A.

Waiting periods are so dumb. Maybe, MAYBE, they have an effect on a first-time gun buyer. But certainly no benefit in relation to the purported purpose of these waiting periods.

(We all know the real purpose is to impose more hurdles to jump over and hoops to jump through for law-abiding gun owners).

Agreed! I have other guns so the waiting period means nothing for me. I can’t wait just crack the safe open and get what I need.
