That is what's happening with many folks today (old & young). They base their opinion on what they hear from the anti-gun community, media and incidents.
Instead of doing any kind of research, everyone that didn't have an opinion is being brain washed by the anti-gun communities agenda.

That’s why I try to put the facts out there. I have descent discussions on twitter with people. You get through to some not others. Some justbpost the same thing back at you and never address your facts or thoughts. Many though are surprised by the facts.

One thing I didn’t like is that the tone of the argument is very defensive. “Handguns account for 80% of mass shootings.”
So do we really want them to restrict handguns more? We shouldn’t be holding off the tide of gun grabbers, we should be arguing for why we should be rolling back restrictions.
The argument I’d like to see is “Why have an estimated six times have many people been killed by their own government than in battle?” Democide - Wikipedia
Then I’d like to see them try to make an argument why people should not be allowed to arm up to the level of the average G.I.

If they paid, I'm sure they would air. And I doubt Fox News wood give them a hard time.
But I've been thinking about this as well. While I am certainly not an NRA fanboy, I'm wondering if their strategy is simply to not give any more fuel to these lunatics on the left and try to let this die down on its own. And then use their money to put behind candidates come the midterms. Wayne LaPierre and Chris Cox could surely donate some of their salary to the cause but I doubt we'll see that happen.
This is why I say I will not give up my guns.

When asked questions, they have no answers.
When given a statistic that proves THEIR OWN sign wrong, they say"oh really, I didnt know that.""Is that true?"
