Great day on the range today.
I bought this Howa about a year ago, and I haven't had it out much. I would call myself a Remington 700 fanboy, but let me tell you this Howa has impressed me.
I really wanted a "precision rifle" but I didn't have the funds to buy a high dollar 700. I think I paid 400 or so for it brand new. Now I think the same rifle is selling for 600 maybe.
308 WIN. Heavy Barrel (I think Howa markets it as their Varmint Rifle). Hogue Stock (which is pretty comfortable). I put Warne bases, and QD rings, and a budget Sig Sauer Whiskey 3 Scope on it.
As of now I might have 600 dollars total into it. Today it shot a 1 inch 2 round group at 200 yards. (I always choke on the third round, so I stuck with 2 shot groups today. Really Impressed with it, and the Federals Gold Medal Match ammo. I dont shoot alot of factory ammo, and Im in no hurry to start reloading another caliber.
