I’m not offended that they wanted a 1911 design . If they wanted a thousand dollar 1911 from colt or whoever makes them, I would not care even if it’s a known fact that other pistols are more reliable. It’s not like they will be submersed in saltwater to land on a beach so that really isn’t an issue or submerged in the swamps of Nicaragua after being inserted miles away from the target objective to low crawl on their bellies. You know, you still need to shoulder a rifle equipped with a PEQ for accuracy and to control the recoil. It goes in your off eye so that you can see the laser and still shoulder your rifle. Only the fbi hrt uses a Springfield custom shop 1911. I’m not sure they use it anymore. The mk23 was not really well received. Are they still using it? I thought they hardly ever did in the past.
