The 65-year-old in the US state of Maine had rigged a door to fire a handgun should anyone enter.

Lethal booby traps are wrong but traps designed to contain live perps should be legal. In a sense, by BBC definition my dog could be considered a trap. First line of defense, early warning in my house.

I used to lay in bed and think about booby trap ideas. Then at some point I would build and / or set up booby traps.
I will experiment with them (if practical) to make sure that my ideas will work.

Guns, 2 aggressive dogs, security cameras and a booby trap here and there make it harder for someone to make it a bad night... For me and mine anyway... Not so much for the intruder(s)... It will not go well for them.

Any booby traps that I have come up with are for SHTF scenarios only.
But I have always found them interesting since I was a kid.

They can be a great tool in the fuck you tool chest.
Not to mention a force multiplier.
