Been waiting on NYPD for my Purchase Auth since 2/14/2020

I was eligible for my next handgun in early February. I mailed in the purchase authorization request on 2/4 and got a USPS confirmation receipt a few days later.

I realized they are probably closed down due to covid-19 but this shit is out of hand now. On May 14 I will be 120 days over due.

My Kimber Pro Raptor II has been sitting at my FFL paid in full for the last 5 months.

NYPD should be forced to give people two purchase authorizations now. Completely useless department.

I was arguing with them last week over a case. After I refused to go get someone's guns and got my higher command to agree with me, they called him and told him to drop his guns off at the nearest precinct. They are handpicked to be the worst anti-gun people in the world.

Yes I did, no one is answering the PA line. I've left two voice mails and e-mailed three times. When I did speak with someone they said they quickly transferred me to the PA line and again I and got the voicemail box.

I'm sure they do that intentionally to pick the most hard ass douches just to make 2A supporters miserable. I know they are your fellow coworkers but it's a dickish thing for the department to do.

Loosely I guess, but I have nothing to do with them and they are just as hostile to retired cops as they are to civilians. The person I was advocating for was a retired Sgt and they acted no differently than any other case I’ve dealt with them on.

My pistol license up in june,got paperwork April 1. Filled all screens proper I got a call from them saying I didn't take pic of my current license, which is bs as it doesnt let you pass screen unless you do it,anyway,she was nice and I retook pics,she even emailed me saying everything in order and I would receive license by my birthday.
Point is they are there and covid19 doesn't mean anything to them.
I'm curious if after all this is if we will still need to do gun inspection which is them doing nothing except writing serial number in a book. They make us go there to pick up a purchase order then bring gun back. All which can be done by mail. I know it's done to discourage purchases to make us work more,is it necessary now that we can potentially die from person to person encounter?

That really sucks. I would be fuming by this time. Our offices are closed and I had to mail mine in. Took a week, I couldn't imagine having to wait 4-5 months to add a gun.

So... months later the shit bags at 1PP finally emailed me back. My request for my fourth handgun was approved but now I need to wait for an appointment to pickup my purchase authorization.

This fucking city and the civilian bureaucrats who work in the NYPD licensing division are a bunch of limp dick twats.

Let's see how long it takes me to get my appointment. Had the licensing division been doing their damned job more efficiently, i would have gotten my purchase authorization two weeks later at the longest; so much for every ninety days.

Update:

Almost 6 months later I finally got my appointment to pick up my purchase authorization for my Kimber which I purchased in February.

After I get my pistol I have to setup yet another appointment to have it inspected and added to my permit.
