First, if they want to make the District of Columbia, do it at the correct time and for the correct reasons.

Do not change the name after one dude that did a few things for one group of peoples.

Also, think about how much government you'd have in that little area if you made D.C. a state. You'd have a state legislature, governor and local gov. on top of the federal government. I thought that was one reason they made it a district and not a state. Because there would be too much government.

I believe a law cannot alone...Constitutional amendment is the order. need a Constitutional convention and 2/3 must ratify at the minimum. The dems know this and are blowing smoke and the minorities as it's an election year. After January if a dem is Prez..the minorities go back into isolation because "illegals" will be the popular group.
