So, are people outraged because two cops were shot while doing their job? or, are people outraged because two people were shot while doing their job?
I ask because this could be anyone. It really does not change the crime because they were police. I wonder, how many other innocent people have been shot while doing their job in America? Being that they were Deputies, this will gain more news media, that is good.
Maybe what we need is to have the news media start showing each and every shooting and killing on TV. Daily and nightly. Everytime their is a crime against the innocent, news flash! Break in to whatever is happening or whatever is being talked about with "Breaking News". Americans really need to wake up and realize some of the truth. The real truth about the different "communities" that are destroying these once Unites States.

It pisses me off that some <redacted> just walks up to a car and shoots two people. It outrages me that they were Deputies because the media and libs have literally put a fucking target on your backs. Seriously, who stands a better chance of being shot out of the blue, you or I? I can walk around Binghamton all day long and the <redacted> won't pay much attention to me. If you have a badge you have eyes on you. The other day one was shooting at Binghamton PD officers, or JC, forgot which one. They sicked their fur missile on the piece of shit. I laughed my ass off while I could hear him scream like the little bitch he was. Last night it was 2 of them, beat and robbed some guy. BPD, JCPD, and Broome Sheriff were all over with dogs running the piece of shits down.
I have my scanner going in the jeep all day, every day there is gunfire in Binghamton, but you won't hear that on the news. Always the same demographics involved.

Yeah I know and don't really care lol. Been doing it for 30+ years. I don't keep the volume cranked for LEO to hear it and it's technically a ham radio so it'll be on a proper frequency before anyone can ask what was that.

I know. Just remember if you trigger the misdemeanor arrest you lose the pistol permit and all long guns until the case is settled and the court wants to give them back.
also it doesn’t matter what frequency you have it on. Only that it is capable. It can be unplugged in the trunk and you are still guilty of the crime. Be careful.

If he has the proper license. The radio itself is not an exemption. I stated me must have a proper license.

I don't get excited when they speak of killing me/mine because honestly I want to do the same to them/theirs. There's no other viable solution. Can any of you come up with a compromise situation where we "heal" enough to live peacefully together after all of this?

Compromise is only good when both sides bring something beneficial to the table.
They tried "Compromise" over and over again in the late 1930s. Every time it just emboldened the agents of evil and made the problem worse.
It did not end until we had brought so much pain that the enemy was so tired of it that they were willing to do anything to make it stop.
WWII ended in unconditional surrender or complete annihilation of our enemies.
That is the only way out of this fight too. There is no "healing". There is no "reconciliation". The fight will continue until one side no longer exists. If we do not start fighting back soon, that side will be us.

Not like it matters but I'll be licensed soon anyway lol.
A ham radio is no exemption under letter of law. I can buy one on amazon for $15 right now. That does not allow me to have it in the car. Any radio CAPABLE of receiving the police frequencies (ham,scanner,other) is a misd. I then said you must have a license to be exempt. The law clearly defines the types of licenses. A ham radio does not equal a ham license.
All you need is to get stopped and have the what’s that? Question asked and there goes the guns. Remember it doesn’t matter if it’s on or off or in the back seat with no batteries. I just can’t see how it’d be worth it. None of my concern though. Just informing you of the law.

Lmao I know what the law states. You copy/paste something from NY vehicle and traffic law which is basically governing local issues and licensing.
Federal HAM liscense trumps that with any radio capable of receiving those frequencies. Don't need NYS permissions or licensing. I know I'm violating laws now because I'm not yet licensed, thanks COVID.

really eazy now to get your HAM license .. don't even have to learn Morris code .. just keep a copy of the law with you and your Ham license ..
had the local PD try that .. is that a scanner .. 20 yrs ago .. no its my Amature Radio that i used to call you with via repeter phone patch for the car that was driving like a asshole and passing a double solid line almost hitting someone head on .. and here is the law and my license and yes its a scanner too ..
this scanner law if i remember right was to stop towtrucks and lawyers from just driving around waiting for accident and jumping on it .. along with criminals using it to evade the cops ..
