I've been doing some additional thinking tonight as well.
When people are fired up, myself included, there's a big tendency to start to identify who you're against. It's easy to feel that pull of displeasure push you towards directing it at a simple target, like an entire group of people. Those liberals, or socialists, or whomever. It's easy to get sucked into the "black and white" type of a game which both parties generally use to push people into violence/riots/cancel culture.
I want to take a step back from that. That easily could be one of the fueling factors here, but I don't want it to be. I don't want it to be a who we're against thing, I want it to be a what we're against thing. I don't want to exclude in those efforts anyone who feels strongly against censorship and cancel culture. Not that I'm specifically including the one liberal we have around here , @SonOfSun , but rather I'm saying I'll stand side by side with anyone who values getting rid of some of the core things I think are rotting this country, causing division, and present significant problems to democracy going forward.
Obviously some issues, like how education became such an ideological monolith of the left, are going to be more skewed towards conservative concerns. Most issues probably would have overlap with any reasonable person.

I think we must first root out the fraud and illegal acts that have occurred over the past 4 + years , to include this elections ballot counting and punish it , or at least put out for public view.

Let me make a metaphor.
Like a marriage gone bad, we have reached the dreaded point of irreconcilable differences. There's no going back. There's no saving the marriage, at this point we're only together for the kids.
The best possible solution (although the least likely) I've suggested in other threads is people self migrate to states that support their views. We break up our nation as we know it and form alliances of states like the EU and have trade and defense treaties amongst ourselves but free to govern each state how they want. Maybe just go back to what our states were supposed to be, being held loosely together by a weak federal government.
If california wants to go full out commie, let them. If idaho wants to go full out conservative let them.
Give people a chance to live as they choose in peace.

There has always been a dichotomy in the base philosophies in this country. What held us together was a certain level of respect for all (which is sadly lacking nowadays), and restrictions coded into our Government that prevented "tyranny-of-the-majority".
Unfortunately, we no longer seem to have respect for those who do not live as we do, and there has been no negative repercussions for violating the codes that protect ALL Americans.
What we need is to go back to the mindset that founded this Country. The idea that, even though someone may not believe as you do, they have just as much Right to live their life as you do to live yours. That no one belief is the "correct way" and all others are false. That people can disagree and still respect one another.
It means trying to make this Country grow the fuck up and be adults.
once America decides the only solution is separation there WILL be violence as each side thinks they should get the lions share of the corpse.

The problem is, as others have astutely identified, that: Those on the right consider those on the left to be people with bad ideas. Those on the left consider those on the right to be bad people with ideas.
It is not possible to reconcile with people who "know" that you are evil. They will always be righteous, in their minds, while seeking your destruction.

It was done in India. Muslims created Pakistan and Hindu's stayed in India. The situation here is not exactly as it was then and there but it does show that it can be done. Probably sooner rather than later.

I'd like to pull this back on topic, and see if we can get something constructive going on.
I think we need to take a big step back, and identify the areas we'd need to focus on to be strategically viable.
These are just my thoughts while I'm on the wild turkey 101 this evening. If y'all find these points a good outline, I'll see if I can talk to @HEX about getting a subforum going or something to make some serious progress going and break these discussions into concrete threads. I want to see some real progress come from this election cycle. We're all not going to live forever, and I don't intend to spend my time waiting on change that may never come.
I think we need to take a big step back, and identify the areas we'd need to focus on to be strategically viable.
- We need to spend extensive time knowing what lines of compromise we're willing to make, and what ones we're not. This is never going to be a finalized process. It's going to be a continual process that requires review, deep thought, and revision. We'll set lines, and redraw them as we find exceptions to the rule. However, by having a way to define our fundamentals, other areas of work will naturally flow from this. (This is probably a really hard step, believe it or not.)
- Based on what we find to be sacred and common, we need to identify a list of areas in which we can implement these changes that will be most effective at reinforcing our viewpoints. These would concern areas of education, community organization, and business interactions -- to name a few that come immediately to mind.
- Once we get past step #2, we need to identify concrete actions that can take place to implement our goals from step #2.
- Action. Everything is armchair philosophy till this step takes place. Talk is cheap.
- Revision. Go back to step #1. This will never be a complete cycle. It will require continual iteration. It will never be perfect, but that's the nature of the beast.

The problem is not complex. The problem is simple, the left has near total control on the flow of information to the masses. Most people didn't vote against Trump, they voted against a caricature of Trump created by the media. If they were fully informed they would have elected him in a landslide.
Any victory will require eliminating their control of information and establishing an alternate path to inform the public at large that bypasses that control.
Right now they have a near monopoly on education and conventional and new media. Most people who voted in the last election did so based exclusively on information provided by hard left sources. They *think* they are well informed because they heard 10 versions of the DNC propaganda. They have been convinced that any information from any source to the right of Hillary Clinton should be dismissed without examination.
If you can figure out how to change that, everything else will fix itself. If you can't, everything else is futile.

And finally..... Most are just plain stupid. Im not saying that in jest, most I have talked to will NOT research anything and believe wholeheartedly in CNN and AOC. Facts mean nothing to them because they dont "feel" like something sounds right.....again, most are dumb.
