The insurance bill has been floating around for a number of years. One of the problems is that nobody will offer policies which cover illegal acts.

I read this article earlier and these assholes passed this and they don’t even know what the fee is going to be. They passed this so that they can fund gun EMT’s and medical bills. They truly haven’t figured out yet that the people that will pay this aren’t the ones shooting others or is it just that they want to confiscate your guns? Gee I’m not sure what one it is.

Though, I'm sure he'd love to have mandatory prohibited insurance.


I wouldn't even put it past him to mandate the insurance, then prosecute only those companies offering it that haven't bought enough copies of his latest book or something...

Well, this could be an opportunity to get a court to rule on assigning fees to a constitutionally guaranteed right. Given what you have to pony up to get a pistol permit, a correct ruling on this could really shake things up.
