I always assumed they would be grandfathered because nobody puts appreciable miles on garage queens.

I like to think a few decades from now I’ll be walking down the road and everything is an EV but occasionally somebody drives by with a V8 they bring out on sunny days even though gas is $13/gallon and only a few gas stations still exist in the city.

For every ton of CO2 we save, China is dumping 100x that... Is why Trump pulled out from the Accord, because there are no controls! And being able to pay or buy away your responsibility is just a bunch of BS!

And besides... In about 5-10 years, exactly what are they going to do with all those batteries? Lmao... There's no effective recycling for them (yet)! So it's going to make CO2 look like pre-school.

Lets say they are banning because of air quality. Well they have to 1-ban all the cars in the world or 2-wrapp the entire country in cellophane so we can keep our own air clean.
Tell them to start with Whatever project is easier of those two. I will help.

Air Quality is so yesterday. It is all about the "S" word. Sustainability in a linear thinking world. EV's using renewables are sustainable. Not a thought about the chemicals needed for batteries and solar panels or fossil fuels needed in the manufacturing of the items needed. Whether it is Climate Change, Progressivism, Communism, Covid Vaccine, pandemics, WHO, etc. It is all about erasing sovereign borders and about Global Governance. Nothing new really. Nothing that Rome, Napolean, Spain, Hitler, Gahngus Kahn, haven't tried throughout history. We are still in the League of Nations mode. They redefined borders that we are still fighting over today but now we are heading for digital global governance and surveillance states. Another unintended consequence. Hasn't been a World War in fifty years. Now there are too many people on "Mother Earth". Need to sacrifice a few hundred million, or maybe a billion or two. Im sure they will be looking for volunteers to be the first.

They will ban everything .... The confederate flag and Gas , Diesel vehicles will be on the same level of crime... Crime against mother earth. A hate crime just to own one...

Back when Obama was running, they made it so only blacks could be angry. If a white guy was angry about anything Obama said, he was labeled a racist. Look what they did to Limbaugh. Personally, although I have had it with the so-called cancel culture, I have taken it upon myself to do a little cancelling of my own, Didn't watch the Bills last night, stopped watching the NFL altogether, Stopped buying Coke a cola, Wouldnt be caught dead at a Starbucks. Divested myself from all things liberal. (except for being an undercover registered democRAT! ) You should hear them pleading for money knowing that they will get wiped out in November of 2022. We have to hold out until then. My attitude today is ef'em all. Every time I hear them talk about January 6th with the " I word " I get (wait for it) Angry!

LOL, I think Jay Leno, Tim Alan and Jerry Steinfeld would have something to say about owning antique cars and motorcycles, seeing as between the three of them they probably own close to $20 million dollars worth of "junk"
And not-for-nothing, Jay Leno's garage is probably more "green" that all the politicians homes combined

LOL, my wifes Uncle went to cuba 10 years ago, or so. he said "you may see a '57 Chevy Belair, but the engine is probably out of a Benz, coupled to a Ford transmission, with a Toyota rear end. if nothing else, Cubans can cob-shit-together like no one else"
Cuba hasn't imported a single car part in 80 years. Cars are handed down from family member to family member.

Here’s the problem with that is that guys like that will just keep them as show pieces or they will convert them to electric. People like me can’t afford to swap them to electric nor do I want to.
Maybe not Tim Allen because he has balls, but all others will cave.
