Why is that? Most smaller FFL's will give a little better price, especially if it has been sitting around for a while. You would think you knew that being as how you worked the other side of the counter.
The five minutes you talk about is only what you see and don't necessarily apply to all people. Federal and state forms to fill out, storing them so when the ATF comes a calling you are organized as they will fine you for the smallest paperwork error. Not as easy as the five minutes you speak...
I waited till his wholesaler ran a sale then bought from him. Was about the same price but had to wait quite a while. At my age the need overruled the want.
What happens when all the small shops shut down and you could really use something in the spur of the moment? Guess there is always...
The problem is online retailers use giant wholesalers or direct buying to sell products and the local FFL's can't operate like them. I asked a good friend of mine, an FFL, if he could get me a gun at the same price I see on the internet. He showed me one of his supplier web pages for that...
You're not preaching but are just telling the facts. Same as the guy who says he just gave you $1500 for a firearm you made 1-2 hundred on. Takes a lot of those sales to keep the insurance, heat, licenses, mortgage, costs of doing business, upkeep or rent paid all the while people think you are...

Yes, but in order to be properly received in NY it has to be entered into an FFL's books to be put on a permit. That means it has to be received from someone. going the other way it needs to be sent from an FFL in order for you to get it taked off your permit.
They did not just move out of state but were either sold or taken over. It's not even just Remington anymore but RemArms. I don't personally think they will ever go into production of some models.
An instance like that is very rare in rural gun shops. Answering questions and doing the actual sale and paperwork take much longer than putting the gun back on the shelf. Used guns are an even longer deal in some shops as they will let you go out and actually test fire the firearm. Case in...
No. You put the price on your burger and that's what I'll pay you or not stay. Ripped off? If you feel that way don't go there. I guess you just don't know how much time and aggravation is involved with what you say is so simple. You ever own or work in a gun shop? If the answer is no then you...
