Recommendations for a Thermal Rifle Optic

Lmao it arrived Monday, have spent a ton of time with yet but so far I’m definitely happy with it! Gotta find somewhere to sight it in where I won’t be pissing off deer hunters lol

Recommendations for a Thermal Rifle Optic

I did, probably mistakenly. Cameron and I talked specs for a bunch of optics so I would put it past me twisting something lol

Recommendations for a Thermal Rifle Optic

I can’t afford 2 thermals, even buying 1 is stretching my budget. Most of you guys can afford multiples of everything, $5000 optics, and $5000 rifles. I can’t. I can easily pull this off my rifle to use as a scanner if I want. And I won’t be hunting over big fields.

It does come with two 18650 and a charger. They’re flat top so I can’t use the ones I already have. I’ll look that place up.

The Nocpix is also a 385-12um and has a 2x base mag. I’m not going to be shooting 200yds, most likely most if not all of my shots are going to be under 100yds. I’m sure 2x will suit my needs well. He also agreed, the Rix is better out to 300yds. This one is also comparable in size to the Rix.

Yes I ordered it while I was on the phone with him at the end of the conversation. Super helpful and gave me a good price on it.

Recommendations for a Thermal Rifle Optic

I talked to Cameron for over an hour today. He was saying the sensor in the new v2 are really good, the 320 would have been a good choice for my uses. Little high base mag than I want though. Over the Rix, he said he had the Nocpix L25 which is a 385 with 2x base mag and is really a great new...

Recommendations for a Thermal Rifle Optic

Bought a ‘24 Street Glide, love it! Just about 10k miles this year lol The only other rifles I have are a Marlin 444 lever and a beater Savage 22. It’ll likely stay on my AR. I’ll probably give him a call this week to chat with him. Was hoping to stay under 3x magnification, we’ll see.

I did research different styles, mounting on my AR so box style is what I’m looking at. Also shoot mostly around 100yds and some woods. Was interested in the v2 385 seems its 2x but it’s still $1700+

This is why it took so long to choose my new motorcycle, I keep going back and forth looking at options lmao.

Recommendations for a Thermal Rifle Optic

The 640 I had in question is a Rattler so used cr123 batteries, which I do not like. But there’s other options to work with. Optics Planet had the best price is all. I have ordered from them in the past for telescope stuff. If they’re problematic now, I’ll continue looking. $1600 is at my...

So let me throw this out there. Optics planet has the older v1 640 for similar price as the v2 384. Thoughts? Still more than I want to spend but may say fuckit

Can’t go wrong with an older TC Encore. Swap barrels depending on what you’re in the mood for.

Recommendations for a Thermal Rifle Optic

Proprietary batteries from known good brands don’t bother me at all. DeWalt, Milwaukee, EGO, Canon, etc etc. Everything has them. Chinese knockoffs are a problem. And AGM has a great warranty. I am looking at the previous TS35-384 though, better price on a lightly used unit on eBay. I...
