I agree with that sentiment. A friend from PA and I met up in Jersey to shoot his 1911 a few months ago and one of the range officers saw my New York ID and was very adamantly questioning if it was my handgun and if I kept it in New York City, etc.. very strange experience.

That's what is kind of insane about NY to me, even New Jersey allows you to keep a handgun in your residence and drive to and from the range without an FID card or permit to purchase a handgun. Seems its just the Sullivan act keeping New Yorkers down.

I have a New Hampshire Non-Resident pistol permit which PA recognizes as a valid CCW so I'll be able to carry in PA once I complete my build

Well I don't own property or rent anything in PA or FL, only stay at my family's place in PA and get sent to FL for work. Does that qualify as residence for purchasing handguns out of state even if I have a New York license?
