The third dog I dropped at a beef farm in orange county.
I dropped a male yote there two weeks ago and figured the female might be around.
Well she was around and was howling the whole way into and in the field we were set up in.
Dropped her at 180 something and being it was the last weekend of...
The second dog of the night was taken after a long game of hide and seek with a couple of different coyote.
I got to the second stand around 11 pm and it immediately started to rain, snow and hail.
I found a comfy pine tree and took cover until it passed around 11:45.
At 11:50 the woods opened...
Ended the 24/25 season with three dogs down.
Two on 3/27 and one on 3/29.
Weather sucked on 3/29 + 3/30, so I'm glad I took Thursday and Friday off to enjoy hunting in some decent weather.
Hunted a camp that I was told has a coyote issue.
I wanted to go earlier, but couldn't get access because...
Here's a video of a hunt last Sat PM with my buddies Savage enhanced Impulse Predator 22-250/ NocPix H50R.
148 yards in foggy humid conditions.
One of the three that came in, a big male.
Second one taken there in two weeks.
You can see the other dog in the top left area of the pic.

His S50R is a great scope.
NocPix hit it out of the park with the Ace scope's.
18650 battery power, ocular zoom, built in Obj LRF and awesome display resolution, you can also playback your recorded video in the scope.
Still lacking in the image/ease of use dept compared to my X50 with the BAE...
Subsonic 338 ARC is meant to be used with a suppressor.
It's still handgun loud when not using a suppressor, but will be a little quieter than std velocity ammo.
The spectrum scope has an on board ballistic calculator, so it'll make longer shots taken with the anemic 338 ARC subsonic ammo...
If it's just for deer culling, any digital NV scope with a 4x base mag using an IR illuminator will work.
Looking over the sports south site at what's available in your price range, I would say the AGM spectrum LRF DNV scope would be a good choice for your needs.

I advise digital...
Finally had a chance to get out without mother nature throwing a wrench into the hunt.
Had two dogs come in last night/this morning.
First dog skirted the field edge in the no shoot zone and disappeared.
The second dog didn't.
208 yards with the enhanced Savage Impulse .243/Rix L3.
Big female.

Have heard at a distance but haven't seen any dog's over the last several weeks.
We put a hurting on the local population, so it takes a little time for the Beta coyote to get around to taking over Alpha dog territory after we evict them.
Finally got some dogs to answer from a couple hundred...
Dropped this one Sat PM on the first set.
It must've been resting on the ridge below us out of the wind, as it got up and bolted when I started calling.
It didn't bolt fast enough.
I always try to make it a point to keep the chatter/noise down while entering and exiting a stand location.
This...
Put out a bait pile and a camera.
See when they visit and hunt accordingly.
Coyote are very territorial, so it must be a pack that's hanging around your uncle's place.
Good luck
Looks like a very versatile optic at a reasonable price.
Looking forward to seeing some varied range pics when the weather gets better, but it's also good to see how it performs in inclimate weather too.

No need to step up your game If it gets the job done.
I buy all this gear because it gives me an excuse if I miss.
It can't be me, it has to be the new fangled scope, rifle or ammo.
Speaking of ammo, I loaded up some fresh 20-250 rounds with Hammer 20 cal 41gr HHT's for the new year after...
Here's some basic thermal info.
Thermal info
The most costly and critical part of a consumer thermal optic is the germanium objective lens.
All parts are critical, but the internals won't matter without a good lens that'll let unaltered IR transmissions through in a certain waveband.
The newest...
