Only a liberal could come up with a plan to fight inflation that involves the government sending cash out to random people.

That's like filling your fire truck with gasoline instead of water because gas is "stronger".

I will get $300 and that’s one week of groceries for us. I’ve been paying inflated prices for 5 years now so I don’t think $300 will help me much or make up for it. I don’t expect the government to do that, but I do expect them not to be so stupid to raise inflation while fighting it. Even that is a failure though as you state here.

First, you must admit that these checks have NOTHING to do with inflation or countering it. Next you must admit that sending out a "rebate" check of some kind, regardless of the label put upon it has, and is a time rested political move designed to curry favor with the voters.

I'm quite sure that the State will determine that I don't deserve a check because I make too much and obviously don't pay my fair share. However, EVERY SINGLE ONE of those welfare queens will be getting a check despite not paying a damn dime in taxes.

I think the income level is like $330,000 for a married couple and half that for a single person. I’m getting $300, not $400, but yes the rest of your comments are spot on. I’m not sure this will do much for her to get votes. $300/$400 is nothing these days.

All I know is a Republican won’t on governor in NYS in the next election. Not sure it will be Hochul though.
