"New York is continuing our fight against gun violence by making manufacturing 3D-printed guns and ghost guns illegal."
Thank God. Since the law making it illegal to possess 'ghost guns' didn't work, this will surely take care of the problem!
I used to have a laser on my nightstand handgun. It had the buckshot pattern below. I think it would be pretty intimidating for someone to see that on their chest. I took it off when I changed to a TRL-7 and red dot. I was going to go with a TRL-8 but couldn't get myself to spend the extra...
It's funny that when the D's are in charge they don't make weed legal federally, even though they seem to think it's important. Kind of like how the R's treat carry reciprocity...
In the article:
“Gun silencers are devices designed for a very specific purpose – to suppress the sound of gunfire from unsuspecting victims and reduce the chances they can run, hide, take cover, and call the police during an active shooter situation,” said Sen. Menendez in a press release...
I have a few comments:
1- Who would have thought you could get a pistol permit at that age in Maryland?
2- At least they were wearing masks. Covid is still a thing, you know.
3- Love that 'Biden-Harris' sign in the union president's office.
4- They probably should send that gun back to the...
"A check of the vehicle revealed a “MAC-10” style submachine gun with an extended magazine on the back seat. That weapon and the Ruger handgun recovered in Mount Vernon, were later determined to be stolen."
So the guns weren't on the suspect's pistol permit?
The two arrested are 16 and 17. The gun control people were complaining that Alabama recently dropped the age to carry to 18:
Concealed Carry in Alabama.
I guess these two guys identify as 18?
But it was ok last winter for NYS to have billboards along I81 that said 'Be a road warrior, plow for NYSDOT'? Isn't the state appropriating 'warrior'?
It would have been more accurate if the article were titled 'Off-duty cop spots man with gun in stolen vehicle in CNY Walmart parking lot'. I like how the stolen vehicle part was an afterthought.
I miss those signs on the highway.... Now it's just stuff about accidents ahead, road work, wear your seatbelt, don't drink and drive, and other stuff so much less important than wearing a mask. At least there are still used masks in parking lots to take me back to a better time.
I have the LockLeather holster you linked to, but mine is for a Hellcat. I've only worn it a few times as I just got it, but I do like it. You can adjust the retention loose enough that the leather is the only thing holding the gun, to so tight that you'll never get the gun out of the holster...
I'm no genius, and I have no desire to smoke weed, but I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be an issue if the state actually made it legal and treated it (and taxed it) like any other product available at a store.
“These weapons are not something like a handgun or something where you could just pick it up and the average person would know how to utilize it,” said Jeff Rinaldo, retired Buffalo Police captain.
Sounds like the the BPD are using sniper rifles that require biometrics to unlock them.... Or...
I have 2 comments:
1. Is Nancy Pelosi's video of her eating top end ice cream out of her commercial grade freezer during covid racist?
2. I think my wife is racist. I get yelled at if I put stuff in the wrong place in our pantry (which is a large cabinet). We don't have enough privilege to...
Here's some good news:

I'd like the know how often the word 'pause' had been used in the news before all the covid 'pauses'...
I have a LaRue trigger on one of my builds. I really like it and it's not as expensive as some others.

Huh, I thought the actors and directors were paid from profits that the shows and movies they make. I guess using Hochul's line of thinking, tax dollars should subsidize everyone's salary if they work in NY.
"Gov. Gavin Newsom was clearly correct when he lamented that no matter how strong California gun laws become, they can be thwarted by folks who visit other states to buy weapons not available here."
Sounds to me like they should put up a wall around CA and not let anyone in or out.
Since highways are easier to keep plowed than city streets, it seems like the last roads to close should be highways. In my area, I usually don't have to shift to 4WD until I get into the city.

Could someone with a better understanding of the legal system than I have explain why there would be two counts of manslaughter if only one person was killed?
From the article:
"The purpose of this act is: (1) to reduce the number of unintentional
shootings by ensuring that gun owners know how to safely use and store
firearms; and (2) to increase compliance with existing firearms laws by
requiring gun owners to demonstrate knowledge of those laws."...

More free money. This time you will get it even if you make up to $200,000/yr for a single tax filer, up to $400,000/yr for joint filers. How many families that make $399,000/yr need extra welfare? Where does all this money come from?

Here's my favorite part:
"Two of the suspects -- Walls and Smyzer -- were recently arrested on murder charges for a fatal shooting that occurred last month, police said."
