This state kills me they’re failing in nearly way possible but continue to prioritize shit like this. Nevermind solving budget deficits, crumbling infrastructure or failing schools. How can we shove it somebody’s ass today?
Her statement is pointless and just makes her look desperate for approval. Anyone with 1/2 a brain knows this is a political vendetta from a decaying administration looking for attention.
This guy made one mistake for sure and I’m speculating on another. The first he is in California. And the second he probably made the mistake of talking about something he had in his collection. In this day and age keep any and all details of your collection to yourself.
I appreciate the advice! I have been looking at a few things to disassemble cartridges. I like the concept of what you suggested seems much more controlled than the typical bullet hammer.
So if we are allowed to sue manufacturers based on the actions of the end users of their product I say we start suing law schools for bullshit lawsuits brought by their alumni.
I’m using CCI #500 small pistol primers. Those were loaded with 4.6 grains of Hodgdon HP-38. After priming the primers sat just under the base of the case. They were fired in a Beretta 92.
Very lightly used. Includes all dies, paperwork and bullet seating stems. I will include an RCBS #16 shell holder.

Well I switched to a set of Lee dies in 9mm and loaded up around 90 rounds today. I’m very happy with the results. All but 5 will drop right into the case gauge and all pass the plunk test in the G19 barrel.
All the brass had this scratch on them. Possibly something from the pistol? I’m going to make up some more rounds tomorrow and I’ll see if any of those have these scratches.
Well I had 7 of 10 rounds that would chamber in my 92 so I went and shot them. It was a little nerve racking but extremely satisfying. They felt a little light in the beretta but I had no cycling issues whatsoever. The brass looked fine afterwards, no bulging or cracks. Primers looked like they...
Too stubborn to quit. I will say it was pretty cool to see those 10 rounds come together. I figured there would be some waste and a bit of trial and error but I will get things dialed in.
Well I’ve cleared my head. I’m going to set aside what I already have worked on. I am going to start over completely with new cases and go through each step and see if things work out better. I’m going to read up a little better before I do so. Thank you all for your support.
I thought some variability would be ok as long as it wasn’t too extreme either way. Truth be told I’m not very happy with the RCBS dies and have been considering getting a 4 piece Lee set in 9mm.
Well first 10 rounds are an absolute failure. I utilized reloading data from Hodgdon’s website for the powder I was using.
HP-38 - 4.5 grains
Hornady 115g FMJ RN
CCI No. 500 small pistol primer
CMC 9mm brass case
COAL 1.100”
It took a little bit but I dialed in the powder measure to throw 4.5...
I purchased what was advertised as new unprimed CBC brass from powder valley. I did not resize it or clean it before hand as I did not think it was necessary. I did order a vibratory tumbler that should arrive tomorrow. I read on a few forums that the case wall on this type of brass is thicker...
Reached out to RCBS multiple times and still haven’t received a response. I’m going to polish the expander this weekend.
Im going to try and finish up 10 rounds and head off to the gun club to shoot them and see what happens.
