Looking for 223 ammo brass cased jhp 55 grain or higher. Looking to even trade for handgun ammo.
This won’t be up long I’m sure, but let me know what caliber you need. As long as you have what I’m looking for.
Thanks
I read all the comments and hopefully replied to everyone that did. Everybody's input is greatly appreciated. And the question was answered in a variety of ways. So I am gonna try buying 147gr flat nose next and see how that goes through the p320-x5 for production
Hopefully I can take you up on the offer, Be better to shoot together maybe this way we might have something the other might be interested in trying out. Thanks again
I don't believe my skill level is there yet but that does answer my question. I am very limited when I can shoot now and Iam waiting for the next slot to go to day shift ( hopefully this year) last year it was a week here and there. Most shoots happen around 4pm.
I try to buy bulk 1000rds at a...
I was hoping to shoot out of state so I can see what its like to have over 10 rds at a time. Here in NY They only allow the street gangs and criminals to carry over 10 rounds. But looks like doing custom loads for a .40 would be a good choice.
I plan on attending and heard the matches out that way are great. Also maybe out of state once I can get my grouping better. I started mid 2018 with WNYPL and USPSA, shot a few matches IDPA style. So the fundamentals are in place and starting to know a few people now. Got involved in the sport...
Wow! most clubs by me are $100 to $150 annually except for the one were the matches are they wanted like $500 for the first year then $300 after that. The other actual just shooting ranges are $17 and $20 an hour
I live in the city and don't have land otherwise I would build and put up steel targets
Well said! That is a realistic time frame we all pretty much live by but tend to fantasize about being able to devote more time into or hobbies or passions. Then we get consumed and the everyday things fall behind and at some point it all crashes. Like you I realize My time is limited and I...
I think when that happens, I will definitely look into a little more weight. Until then let’s hope it doesn’t happen right after I buy a stock pile of ammo in the lesser weight
Well said, I couldn't think of the proper terminology, and yes power factor was what I couldn't remember lol. The 115 gr had no issues knocking targets down so I thought I would be ok with that, and sure it would chrono ok. But just curious if I changed loads will it be a noticeable difference...
I know there are restrictions but didn't bother once I found out the 115gr was fine to use. I think once my skills are better, I'm sure I can venture into trimming where I can lol
Very good point, for me I would have to say too costly to reload looking at investment and just time consumption. Being more of just a hobbiest in the sport and not forgoing a career.
I was gonna try .40 for competition but can't drop the mag very quickly on the H&K and trying different calibers looked like it was gonna get costly. Between steel and USPSA
Good reading, my grouping is kinda all over at least using my g19 and 115gr federal FMJ round nose. Most likely me shooting to fast but need to get to the range and shoot with out a timer and see where I'm at. Then see how both Sigs do.
Well that explains why I can see some shots indoors and can’t see mine lol
And now need to see if I can find flat instead of the typical point I currently have. Great answer to reloading too!
Right now it’s hit or miss last month about 600 rounds. This month maybe 200. It’s not consistent yet because of work, but hopefully it will change soon. I figured by the time I bought all the equipment and supplies it would take forever to gain any savings lol
So many opinions out there but... Currently running your typical 115 gr FMJ looks like I can get 124 gr for the same cost ( sorry if I'm off on weight). Mail order averaging around 17 cents a round and free shipping. My question, Is there a noticeable difference in the heavier grain? I was...
That is one nice looking rifle, nothing too fancy but a nice clean look and just add scope and off course legs. I'm sure my steadiness is only good for short distance. Now to decide how often I could possibly get out of the city to shoot.
When it is time for something to buy, I will definitely look into what it is I want to do. Years back I wanted a 50cal just to have in my arsenal. Im a smaller guy around the 185lb. mark and think I would like something with legs instead of trying to hold it standing upright but maybe its just a...
Ahhh, very wise. So much to consider. I know it will not be my daily shooter but would still like to keep my body parts in tact when I do get to shoot lol
Thank you
Fantastic knowledge, I really have to decide what it is I would like to do then. I originally wanted long range for accuracy and knock down power. Someone also mentioned 300 win mag. I should become a used gun dealer so I can buy everything and resell lmao
Well now Never thought about custom fitting one either, I am new to shotguns being that always shot a few rounds of somebody else's. I was thinking semi auto for quickness to get on 2nd clay. Maybe I should lean more toward used.
Thanks for the feedback, What I found is a lot of places by me I guess are public shoots, so there is no membership fees involved, and it seems like $10 on the average to shoot that day. For that price I can't go wrong and ammo seems to be cheap also. Have to see what I find at a gun show or a...
Thank you and will have to look into it, who knows what I am gonna end up with. It seems there are a lot out there and maybe used or maybe new lol. Waiting for that great deal because I have plenty of time. stuck on second shift for at least another 3 months.
