I've had my eye on the custom covert II in that tan camo for well over a year. Problem is, I can never find someone who has one in the shop so I can get a better look at it. This past weekend i was at the Gun for Hire range in NJ. Right next door there is a gun shop that had one. They actually...
ok no worries, he's like the mayor in Rouses Point. He dates my wife's friend Lyssa Cardin. I believe Lyssa has a sister who lives in Chazy. Thought I'd ask, no biggie.
I noticed in your Restrictions Letter post you were from Clinton County. We have friends up that way in Rouses Point. I don't suppose you know anyone up that way? I feel like everyone up there knows everyone :) If so, do you know a Scott Post?
Just going by what I saw on CraigsList and in some local papers up in Clinton County while visiting friends didn't offer much on the property, but I agree, once you get it cleared you can plant a tent there and it's a work in progress. I imagine more than 2-3 hours a way would get old quick...
I was just thinking the same thing a few months ago. Went as far as looking upstate for land. You can get some decent property for 20k-50k but it may or not have a road. Ideally, if I ever bought something upstate, I would want a cabin or something on it where I could rest my head. Love the idea...
try Craigslist...I picked up a monster 800lb safe on there...no electronics...great condition..for a $600 steal not long ago. It retailed for $1899. They're out there. People are always inheriting them...or finding them in basements and businesses because people don't want to be bothered with...
Local shops don't have the inventory. I'd love to walk into a local gun shop and see/hold Kimbers, Sigs, etc. Every store around here has a small inventory and never what I'm interested in. Unfortunately, online has better prices and makes it pretty easily read specs and reviews. I think local...
I remember going for my permit about 7 years ago and reading in the manual (westchester county) that if I were to be pulled over on my way with my gun in my trunk I was to inform the officer immediately. I always remembered that for some reason.
not sure about NJ but the law in NY is if you get pulled over while you have your firearm in the vehicle, you are to inform the officer immediately. Is this not true?
same thing at the Smith & Wesson headquarters & factory up until a few years ago. They had a few indoor ranges where you could come in and rent guns for the day. No permit required. Out of state ID no problem. I'm up that way a dozen times a year, so I use to love stopping in there. It was all...
no one is inspecting cars as you pull in the lot...or into NJ for that matter...don't worry. Keep everything locked up and if you get pulled over for doing something stupid it won't be a big deal, just mention what you have in the back so they' are no surprises.
that's a little different. I HIGHLY doubt they will pull a shop's license if for some reason it made it back there that they waived some people's tints. My question is how would / could it get back to the shop. Not, that shops won't be doing it. Because I for one, know a dozen shops in NYC that...
so is there anything stopping the average Joe from throwing the mechanic an extra $20 to pass it. Forgive me for not knowing, but could it somehow come back to the shop that passed the vehicle? Is there a way police would be check that and making a federal case out of it. I know someone who has...
good timing, as I'm checking out the 6 Star Shooting Range in NJ | Gun For Hire range on Saturday. Taking a few pistols and some friends. Plan on renting some stuff too.
I'm contemplating moving up from a small gun safe to something much bigger to hold my long guns and ammo as well as my pistols. Don't really have room in our bedroom and my basement is pretty full too. The more I read about them I see how many people have them put in the garage after delivery...
Because a few years back me and a bunch of guys riding motorcycles on i95 north thru CT on our way to the casino were first on the scene of a bad accident. A tractor trailer that went over the divider forcing a car into the woods, and drove over a pickup truck with a father and son inside. Since...
