I have a gen 1 - 10/30 hex mag on my first AR build. I must say I don't like it at all. It really wiggles in the mag well more than my pmag, and Has double fed A couple of times, and causes jams pretty often. Didn't know there was that many problems until I just saw this thread lol.

Yeah true. I've only shot on state land in Ellenville. Trooper barracks isn't too far away, so sometimes they circle the quarry thing in their helicopter sometimes. Makes you uncomfortable when shooting ARs for sure. Just would like some land in the woods to just shoot on. Thanks for all your input
