He competes in carry optics so this looks like a great option. He recently started using a 320 and liked it so much he decided it get the X5. The only downside seems to be the limited of optics that will mount to it, he plans on getting the Deltapoint which seems to be good for his purposes.
I just scored a used 550 set-up to replace my lee turret press so I can spend less time loading. It came with a case feeder but not sure if I am going to use it since I load 3 calibers and not sure if its with dealing with. The case feeder came with only one caliber so it would cost about...
I have not been shooting as much but that will change no that summer is over. I have shot a few new pistols lately but nothing of interest.
The bummer thing is that the guy who had most of the pistols that I shot is now concentrating on USPA and not buying new pistols. He was a diehard Glock...
A guy at the range who competes CMP bought one of their match grade models and it shot very poorly. Went back twice and still sucked. he shoots groups with his 70 old M1 grand a quarter of the size. He said if I wanted one get an older one, cant remember the date but they are available.
If...
The very first youtube review had very similar results. Not sure if your familiar enough with lucky gunners test. They use 4 layers of cloth in front of the block and as you know the barrier delays expansion and increased penetration.
You might want to look at some more data a lot of good expanding 40 is over 14 inches https://www.luckygunner.com/labs/self-defense-ammo-ballistic-tests/
When comparing 40 to 357 they share the same capacity and recoil so between the 2 I dont see why use the smaller one.
I agree 9mm bullet tec is much better now, but the same improved tec has made the bigger bullets better too.
I do not use a pistol for work but I think my choice would be a...
The G27 is the 40 cal version of the 26 and for me is a handful. I dont have the strongest hands. 357 is a strange caliber to shoot the recoil feels about the same as 40 but the blast is much greater making you thing the recoil is heavier. I have read that the 357 bullets will sometimes...
I dont see an issue with changing the trigger but opinions vary. It is a factory part so it helps the "its ok argument".
That said if you dont find the stock trigger uncomfortable it wont be worth changing. Some pistols that come with curved triggers have a weird feel like some of the M&Ps...
IMO all the things you mentioned are subjective, one guy may like it and the next guy does not. Those are features you can never make everyone happy with.
Glock does offer night sights, finger grooved van be filed off with little effort, triggers can be changed in 10 minutes, they do offer...
I dont understand what people want glock to do. Make something much different just because. If they dont like what glock has to offer buy something from 1 of the many other manufactures.
Not sure why he took a shot at glock for not innovating. Glock still seems to be the benchmark that all other are judged by, how much should they change.
As I said when the 365 came out it was a game changer with its size to capacity. and that comes down to a great magazine patent that not...
I think the slide is cool and all but its the same weight as a non-cut slide so it just an appearance thing. So, if you have a 320 and want an RMR you send it out and get it cut. It would probably be cheeper.
I think they missed with the standard height sights, they are nice night sights but...
They are an optics company and want to sell their own, I dont blame them.
A buddy picked up a full sized 320 with the optic per-installed, its a sweet shooter. I did like the optic but of course its not bullet proof loin an RMR.
Ok lets take a hypothetical situation and play the caliber game.
A home invader is breaking down the the door, and on the coffee table is a G17 and a G21 with one bullet. You can only pick up one. What one do you pick?
I choose the G21..
Not exactly sure why shooting FMJ at pine boards would be important.
The way I see it 9mm got beat by the ACP, 45 "killed" more pine.
9mm killed 3.6 square inches of pine where the 45 killed 3.84 square inches.
10 yrs a gun is a life sentence plus in this case. 140 years. With that type of jail time across the justice system you might not like the tax increases. It would be cheeper to "fix" our society than pay for the jail time. Here is a short article on the price we pay now. Mass Incarceration...
Keep 1 thing in mind... The governor who makes the laws no one like is elected by NYC and now the courts who are sentencing these crimes are the more republication supported towns. Take NYC out of the equation NY is A LOT less liberal, and Andy looses most counties out of the city.
My Brady check is due in Monroe county. Not looking to buy another pistol at the moment but dont want to be held up if I want to.
Question is do I have to go to the clerks office or can I mail the form?
This is good news actually... If you can keep the second one it should not be too hard to make it work. Could be a blessing in disguise for you hassel.
