Today I used the Hatfield to shoot clay. First time for me. I was able to pay attention how the shotgun handled. Nice recoil. I hardly noticed the recoil. I guess I would compare the recoil to my 22 caliber nitro piston air rifle. Actually the air rifle is more annoying.
I actually hit some...
These sell fast at Walmart. I've never seen them on display. The counter people were very helpful. After not seeing the Hatfield after a couple of visits, I asked about them. The guy immediatly placed an order to restock.
Walmart sells the 20 Guage version too.

That would be a good post to read.
I've read reviews where people buy them as a beater, let them bang around the bottom of the boat, get dropped in the swamp,, etc.
Takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.

Speaking as a shotgun novice (my other is Mossberg Shockwave) this is the first full sized shotgun I've had. The weight seems fine. Handling, I was just shooting willy nilly out into air. But felt good, easy to control.

I searched the forums for a posting on the Hatfield didn't find any.
I spent a lot of time reading reviews, watching videos and pondering the Hatfield Semi Auto Shotgun. I "pulled the trigger" on one at Walmart for $206 plus tax.
Took it to the range and tried to make it fail. Rapid fired 2...
I have read the Stupid...I mean SAFE act. My carbine is legal. What I like about the firearm is that was made in Onieda NY. While at the Syracuse Gun show, I bought it directly from the guys that manufactured it.

I live in upstate NY. Last month I bought an AR15 in Syracuse NY with non removable mag. It has adjustable stock, pistol grip, muzzle brake, and forward hand grip. Totally legal. Use an ejection port speed loader and it's good to go.

I belong to NRA and GOA. GOA seems very active in gun rights that's their main focus. NRA does good things regardless of current controversy. That's why I belong to both.

New fire arm owner. I have a Henry 17 HMR, Ruger 10/22, Mossberg 20 ga Shockwave.

Working on pistol permit.
Looks like a fun and informative forum.
All the online stores I have tried won't ship to NY. I thought it was illegal in NY.
I was surprised to find one locally. I bought the 20 ga because that's all they had. I have found that accessories and shells for the 20 ga are limited. Sometimes I wish I got the 12 ga.
But I have lots...
