Yep, as I said in the first response there, we would have to purchase the plugin. Probably this one.

Also as I said though, I'm not certain if it would then work for past attachments or only those made after we installed it. Only...
Doesn't really matter whether we did or didn't have it before. I wasn't intending to be contridictory, just saying I didn't know. The important part is what we have now or may have in the future I suppose. vBulletin does have the occasional good feature that we may lack by using Xenforo , but...
Oh, also I should probably mention that this is actually entirely possible already if the uploads were made using our current 'Media' functionality. Those images could be used for display in threads without re-uploading, and can be searched by one's own content, but that hasn't proved to be a...
So, any kind of self-management or viewer of previously uploaded attachments for users is not, and has never been, a part of the core Xenforo platform. Why not?.. I don't know, as it does seem like it would make so much sense.
Like most useful features in Xenforo though, there are third-party...
This is an older thread, but funny that someone just brought it back up because Classic Firearms is apparently giving one away in a contest open for just the next few days. It would be amazing for someone here to win it (even if we could only use 10rd mags).

Hello and welcome. :welcome:
Now first and foremost.. what in the heck are you doing hanging around with that @ArmedCorgi guy ?
(Just kidding. I like that fella. :))
Ah, got it. I was pretty sure it was the button only, but I'm not familiar enough with the product to know that there was a seperate one for lights and lasers. Makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.
Just to be clear, this is just the button device, right ?
It's a little confusing with the title ending in LASER and the second pic including the laser.
I know a bit about these and have a few myself.
Weird thing about the notch, nobody knows for sure anymore. It's traditional, but ideas range from practical purposes to a variety of religious and/or cultural symbolism.
This page is more interesting than me explaining it...
From my post in #9, I meant something along the lines of that perhaps the redirect feature is causing people to not realize where they've been redirected to, but maybe it's something else. As I said, I can't really know without a documented experience and/or an exact recounting with all the details.
Oh, yeah I fully understood you were referring to the software update; that wasn't the confusion at all. We went from Xenforo 1.x to 2.x.
It's the exact nature of the problem that I'm not getting. In my first post here I was under the impression from the OP that @nortatoga was talking about...
I'm not exactly sure what you mean , but I would guess it has something to do with what is actually a very advanced feature for a forum style site that we use wherein , depending on certain factors of how you go to it, automatically brings you to the first thing you haven't yet seen in a thread.
That's.. well, just how forums work. At least if you're saying what I think you're saying.
The version of Xenforo we use is actually pretty advanced in that you'll see a little box that says something like "Replies have been posted since you last loaded the page" (Or something like that).
It...
She has an account and has been on here a few times, but not for a while now. We chat sometimes.
A few weeks ago she was asking friends to lend her Halloween decorations like, and I quote, "severed limbs, fingers etc anything of the sort that's gory", so that she could make some kind of crafty...
I remember all too well during the whole Tresmond's challenge of SAFE, I'd talked with..eh [redacted] (heh) on the phone a few times and had to correct said person on what the previous law even was. Then having multiple phone conversations with @smurfette, discussing how we thought they had no...
I'm fairly certain it was the Tresmonds law firm who originally told me otherwise; back when I was working closely with them on the other place and doing a lot of phone chats. The thing with that though.. I mean, it was the Tresmonds. so... :idk:
I could very easily be wrong on this one (It does happen, and I'm perfectly happy to admit it when it does), but.. I don't think so. The actual law passed in SAFE was specifically to revise sections of the current penal law (Under this law sections blah blah and blah are revised to say blah blah...
As I said above, if SAFE were struck down then it would revert to what the law was before it. Safe act did not impose 10 round magazine restrictions; we've had that since 1994 and still would.
Then we'd be back to the just slightly less restrictive '94/'04 AWB that we had already before. It has nothing to do with carrying anywhere , with the exception of the required permit renewals.
The only major difference is that pre-ban mags would become a thing again so people would once again...
Well, yes it's just two pins, plus the pin holding in the gas tube. They're most likely going to be solid tapered pins (that's the correct pins, but I've seen some weird stuff on rare occasions). You just have to be certain you're punching them them the correct direction due to the taper...
Why would you ever even consider getting a gun for your wife that she didn't choose herself ? This always confounds me when I see it.
If she actually wants to carry a gun, let her determine what works for her, get what she wants, and just be happy that she wants to.
Anyway @Hillbilly77 , I pulled those extra posts made during this process from your sale thread. Also I suppose I'll have to make the self moderation thread you initially referenced invisible for now; at least until such time as we can reinstate the ability.
Ohhhhhh.. well, this is not the best outcome. So, I figured out the problem, but it's not going to be quite as easy to fix as I expected.
When I saw that permissions were set up to allow you to see those checkboxes, I assumed it was just a matter of finding the right permissions to switch...
I just looked at the permissions and it does seem it SHOULD be on for everyone as far as I can tell at a glance (without having to use the checkbox anymore)... buuuut should doesn't always mean it absolutely is, because there can potentially be conflicts in different levels of permissions and...
Unless I'm mistaken, the explanation there is outdated (thanks for pointing that out). I believe it's on by default without having to use the checkbox now. At least I hope so, because the alternative is that we haven't known since the major software update that it was completely off.
I'll run...
Just for the sake of amusement I was going to try to accommodate, but it seems there already is one.
:yum: :yum:
Admittedly it's not very good. It's in the default pack all the way at the bottom, right next to :poop:.
My initial guess is that either you're using browser security plugins, (i.e. NoScript, Ghostery, Adblock, etc.) , or that your browser has internal settings blocking javascript and or trackers and such. The same thing happens to me, but in my case it's intentional. Facebook's media content is...
Yeah.. so after around 25 deleted posts, members posting about plans to meet up and fistfight it out, and two temp bans (and only temp bans because both are long time members) .. yeah this thread is done.
Possibly.. probably.. the most incredibly childish BS I've ever seen on here.
Thanks for the heads up. Googling the address that was shown shows that they're showing up on other forums also.
Though the actual threat is low (so long as you don't give them your email address and then get tricked by some phishing scam or into downloading and running any programs they send...
I believe so yes. Not a fantastically clean job of plating though.
Well I sure didn't buy it to carry it. I do recall trying to shoot it once back in '05/'06 or so when I picked it up. I don't believe it got through more than two rounds without a jam, but I probably only went through the one...
I do have one of those stuffed away in a box somewhere around here. I believe the only time I've admitted to it on a forum was in the old place when I made a funny with a picture about my ultra super tactical pistol that had several silly things attached via multiple rail adapters, also...
Ugh. I did not, and never do, want to drag threads off topic with this, but we have to keep saying it because it's such a consistent issue every day. The rules are far less the point then how crappy this site would be if we allowed every thread to be titled "How predictable", "You won't believe...
*Le sigh*. Once again (and again, and again, and again, and again) the title has been changed. The original tile of "How predictable" is useless and entirely non-descriptive of what the thread is about, and therefore in violation of site rules.
I continue to not understand why this is so...
Or, no sharpened edges at all. It's not at all clear because the term stiletto has been applied to different things.
Historical stilettos (origin: 15th cen. Italy) typically had round, triangular, square, or diamond shaped 'blades' that were long and 'needle-like'. They were thrusting/piercing...
From who ? Details ?
Contrary to what some might believe, and in the interest of transparency, we can't ever see anyone's PMs unless invited to the conversation.
With the exception however of actually delving into the database via access to the server (outside of the forum software...
